Las Vegas Aces at Dallas Wings WNBA Picks
If you managed to catch the Aces and Valkyries on Saturday, you may have been surprised to see the 104-102 final score. This would be for good reason because the Aces had gone under in five consecutive games prior. A lot of that had to do with an offense that has struggled all season long. The Aces managed just 74 PPG in that five-game stretch.
Dallas has some incredible firepower on offense, but with just one basketball, the output on that unit has been up and down. Recently, it's been down. They've managed just 77 PPG in their last three, which is about 4.5 points per game fewer than their season total.
The Aces may turn their play around and have success against this poor Dallas defense, but they should be able to dictate the pace, which means this one will be played on the slower end. Their defense has struggled at times to hold opponents to poor shooting performances, but this Dallas team has a 46.2% eFG%, the second-worst mark in the league.
This number feels like an overreaction to Saturday for the Aces and doesn't take into account recent trends for Dallas. The game features the largest total on the board by far for the day. I'll be the contrarian and take the under in this one to round out my betting card for the day.
