Washington reminds me a ton of last year's Indiana Fever squad – pretty darn good on the offensive end, but downright awful on the defensive end.
But with Brittney Sykes likely out once again today, I'm tempering my expectations for them against the Phoenix defense. Assuming Sykes is out, the Washington offense will rely on a pair of rookies, Sonia Citron and Kiki Iriafen. While both have played well against a Phoenix team led by a couple of solid veterans in Satou Sabally and Alyssa Thomas, I'm not expecting much.
The Mystics may make a game of it in the first half, but Sabally and Thomas will take over in the second and run away with it.
