College Football Week 4 Odds, Picks & Prediction: Florida vs. Tennessee
It’s been more than 30 years since we saw a spread this big in the Florida vs. Tennessee rivalry, but here we are as the Volunteers are laying 10.5 points as kickoff approaches. For Florida, an opening game win over the highly touted Utah was quickly forgotten after they laid a dud the following week losing to Kentucky at home 16-26. The season was almost over last week, needing the final minutes to beat a USF team at home by three as 23-point favorites.
For the Volunteers, optimism is at the highest levels it’s been in more than 10 years, as they come into this game 3-0 (3-0 ATS) with a win at Pittsburgh their most impressive to date. The QB-WR combination of Henden Hooker and Jalin Hyatt is slowly morphing into one of the best in the SEC, as the duo racked up a career-high 166 yards in their last game.
While all signs on paper point towards the Volunteers in this one, especially in a revenge spot from Florida’s 38-14 win last season, I smell something fishy. I think the Gators have enough to keep this one close.
