Conference play has given us some fantastic upsets and play from Power 4 programs in October. There are more massive games in store for Week 7, featuring No. 4 Ohio State vs. No. 5 Indiana, No. 6 Alabama vs. No. 14 Tennessee, No. 13 Missouri vs. No. 9 Ole Miss, and No. 2 Notre Dame vs. No. 8 BYU.
My College Football Week 6 Picks: Best Early Bets (2026) settled 2-1 for a profitable result. Alabama’s 20-17 loss at home to Georgia was tough, although we overcame it with winning tickets on Nebraska +7.0 and UCLA +11.5.
I’ve tracked early line movement in some of the biggest matchups ahead in Week 7. Let’s bet these numbers now before they move later in the week.

Ohio State (4) vs. Indiana (5)
A battle of Big Ten juggernauts will be played in Bloomington on Saturday when Ohio State takes on Indiana. Each program has won a National Championship in the last two seasons, so expectations are high in this matchup.
Since blowing a lead to Texas in Week 2, the Buckeyes have been dominant, with their best win coming on the road against Iowa’s top-ranked defense, beating the Hawkeyes 31-14. WR Jeremiah Smith is among the Heisman Trophy favorites, and with QB Julian Sayin’s accuracy, Smith will test Indiana’s pass defense on every snap in this game.
The Hoosiers rallied late against Nebraska to avoid their first loss of the season. QB Josh Hoover only went 12-of-24, but finished with 263 yards and 2 touchdowns, creating explosive plays in the 4th quarter.
Ohio State has a bit more pressure not to lose a second game, while Indiana has not looked unbeatable, escaping Northwestern and Nebraska with narrow wins.
The line has moved from +2.5 to +3.5 on Indiana, while the point total has ticked up from 49.5 to 50.5. We’re through a key number on the spread at 3, while the total has now moved to 50.5, creating value on the under with a pair of top-10 defenses.
Let’s bet Under 50.5 at -108 odds between Ohio State and Indiana.
Pick: Under 50.5 (-108)
Alabama (6) vs. Tennessee (14)
A fierce SEC rivalry will pit Alabama against Tennessee at Neyland Stadium during Saturday’s late afternoon window. The Crimson Tide had a tough break late in their first loss of the year against Georgia, failing to get a DPI called that would’ve put them in position to tie or take the lead late in the game.
The Volunteers have been held to 24 or fewer points in all 3 SEC games played this season, including a 20-17 home loss to Texas. Tennessee’s defense has picked up the slack, limiting opponents to 201 or fewer passing yards and 2 total passing touchdowns in conference play.
Alabama QB Keelon Russell should have a prime bounce-back game, even in a hostile road environment. His elusiveness and big arm are tough to cover, while the Crimson Tide’s rushing attack is relentless, averaging roughly 5.0 YPC during conference play.
Tennessee is now getting +8.5 as a home underdog, moving from +4.5 when lines opened. The point total has moved from 55.5 to 53.5. Expect a motivated Alabama offense to come into Knoxville and mow down the Volunteers, as the Crimson Tide have logged 45+ points and 480+ yards of offense in nearly all of their SEC games played.
Alabama is likely going to get up to -9.5 or -10.5 by Saturday, so let’s grab Alabama -8.5 before we’re into double digits.
Pick: Alabama -8.5 (-110)
Notre Dame (2) vs. BYU (8)
We’ve got an intriguing top-10 matchup between Notre Dame and BYU on Saturday night in Provo. The Cougars are +10.0-point home underdogs to the Fighting Irish, finding ways to stay undefeated despite being held to 24 or fewer points in consecutive games against TCU and Iowa.
Notre Dame is led by veteran QB CJ Carr, who has thrown for nearly 1,400 yards, 16 touchdowns, and only 1 interception with a 70.8 percent completion rate this season. The Fighting Irish just hung 58 points on Stanford, while breaking 40 points in 4 of 6 wins this season.
BYU’s offense relies on a run-centric scheme, which will be tough to lean on against a Notre Dame run defense holding opponents to 2.1 YPC and 1 total rushing touchdown.
The Cougars have moved from +10.5 to +10.0, while the point total has dropped from 48.5 to 47.5.
Most public bettors are on BYU +10.0 right now. Notre Dame struggled to cover on the road against North Carolina in Week 5, but BYU’s offense is going to become one-dimensional, making QB Bear Bachmeier susceptible to miscues and empty possessions.
Let’s lay the points with Notre Dame -10.0 as a road favorite against a BYU offense that sits outside the top-40 in points per game this season.
Pick: Notre Dame -10.0 (-108)
