WNBA Best Bets & Picks for Saturday: Liberty vs. Fever

New York Liberty vs. Indiana Fever Picks

The undefeated New York Liberty head back to Indiana for a rematch against the Fever after snatching a 90-88 victory against them earlier this season. The Liberty are 4.5-point favorites with a 172 total in what should be a fantastic rematch.

Of course, monitor the injury news, but Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham should both be good to go, which should only add additional buzz to this nationally televised game. Clark opens up spacing and allows for more efficient transition offense, but Cunningham's return should not go unnoticed. The sharpshooting guard should inject another element into this offense against a tough Liberty defense.

Even with the injuries, the Fever rank second in the league in offensive efficiency. Again, small sample size, but it's telling of what this team is capable of if they get their motors running. New York is favored for a reason, though.

The Liberty ranks first offensively and defensively in advanced metrics, only has two wins where the opponent kept it within seven points and is the early-season title favorite. They've outscored their opponents by 171 points, and it's hard to doubt them outscoring the Fever tonight.

While I do think Indiana keeps it close, it's tough to bet actively against New York. Instead, I'm going to trust the hype of the game and take the over for what should be two offenses that dazzle.
