(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

Corey Seager (+310)

Consistency and pop are two key facets of Corey Seager’s skill set. The five-time All-Star has logged a .887 OPS at home this year, which is the 12th-highest mark among American League batters. It lines up with the impressive .948 OPS and 69 home runs he has hit in 249 career games played at Globe Life Field. Take note that Seager also enters Monday ranked as a top-20 batter in hard-hit rate (53.5%) and barrel rate (15.2%).

Confronting someone who can crush a ball at any moment in an environment where they are comfortable is daunting for an opposing pitcher. Arizona’s Ryne Nelson will battle the Rangers after allowing a homer in seven of his previous 11 starts. The right-hander has been dependent on his four-seamer (62.6%) through 24 outings. That is music to Seager’s ears, as he has posted a .593 slugging rate against that pitch across 11 MLB campaigns.

Yandy Diaz (+340)

Sutter Health Park has been a wonderland for visiting hitters. The Sacramento stadium trails just Coors Field in Statcast’s offensive park factors and has featured the third-most home runs (164) in the sport. Jeffrey Springs has certainly felt the venue’s impact on the mound. The Athletics southpaw has conceded at least one dinger in all 10 of his home starts. A lofty 31.8% fly ball rate isn’t doing him any favors, either.

This is a showdown that favors Yandy Diaz as the Rays travel west. The Cuban slugger leads Tampa Bay with a .876 OPS facing left-handed pitching, thanks in large part to nine homers and a minuscule 12 strikeouts in 119 at-bats. It’s worth pointing out that Diaz boasts an average exit velocity of over 92 miles per hour (MPH) for the fourth straight season. Trust him to get a hold of one of Springs’ mistakes and send it deep into the California sky.

Andrew Vaughn (+400) & Joey Ortiz (+600)

Pittsburgh’s Andrew Heaney joins Jeffrey Springs as one of only 12 MLB hurlers to surrender 22+ home runs in 2025. It’s not a club veteran arms want to be a part of. Heaney has been especially dismal on the road, registering a 6.55 ERA and giving up 14 jacks during 12 appearances. Overall, the 34-year-old checks in outside of the top 285 qualified pitchers in hard-hit rate (44.5%) and barrel rate (10.4%).

The Brewers draw an incredible matchup in Monday’s series opener. Two players stick out as underrated options. First baseman Andrew Vaughn has slashed a ridiculous .348/.412/.629 with seven homers and four doubles since joining Milwaukee on July 7th. Meanwhile, infielder Joey Ortiz has tallied three moon shots in five at-bats versus Heaney. Parlaying the two to each go yard results in an enticing longshot wager at +2992 odds.
