Ketel Marte (+320)

Milwaukee’s Jose Quintana sports career-low marks in strikeout rate (16.2%) and whiff rate (17.6%). The southpaw is pitching to contact during his 14th MLB campaign, which is causing him some trouble in the long ball department. Quintana has been taken deep at least once in seven of his past nine starts and now runs into a Diamondbacks squad that has tallied the second-most home runs in the National League (186).

Ketel Marte sticks out as a great target on Thursday. The All-Star second baseman is slashing .325/.413/.613 with 14 homers and 14 doubles over 52 road games this year. Take note that Marte has also posted a .412/.500/.676 slash line to go with four dingers in 18 career clashes at American Family Field. As if that’s not enough, he is 5-for-12 with a jack versus Quintana. Trust Marte to put all that experience to good use.

Trea Turner (+400)

The Phillies are in desperate need of a boost after getting swept by the Mets in New York. Shortstop Trea Turner’s recent hot streak gives him a good chance to provide one. The Phillies’ leadoff hitter is batting .415 with six extra-base knocks and nine RBI across his last 14 contests. Another advantageous matchup awaits him on Thursday evening. Turner is 5-for-11 with two home runs against Atlanta starting pitcher Cal Quantrill.

It has been a season to forget for Quantrill between stints with the Marlins and Braves. The 30-year-old hurler has logged a dismal 5.51 ERA and 1.42 WHIP through 25 appearances. Those struggles include ranking 341st out of 363 qualified arms in barrel rate (11.7%). Overall, Quantrill has surrendered a homer in 10 of his previous 13 outings and has conceded eight earned runs in 9.1 career innings at Citizens Bank Park. Fade him by betting on Turner.

Christian Walker (+340)

Cal Quantrill isn’t the only floundering pitcher toeing the slab on Thursday. Colorado’s Kyle Freeland draws the start in Houston behind his lackluster 5.31 ERA and 1.52 WHIP. The Denver native has been getting tormented with a 47.8% hard-hit rate and 91.3 miles per hour (MPH) average exit velocity. It’s worth pointing out that 12 of Freeland’s 18 home runs allowed have come on the road. Coors Field isn’t to blame for his stumbles.

Let’s remain focused on sluggers with a history of success. Christian Walker has slashed .316/.386/.553 with two homers and three doubles in 38 at-bats against Freeland. The veteran first baseman has gone yard an Astros-high six times in August and is tied for the team lead in blasts versus right-handed pitching in 2025 (17). Anyone in search of an intriguing longshot option could sprinkle Walker to tee off twice at Daikin Park.
