MLB Home Run Props, Bets & Picks: Tuesday (9/2)

The MLB season continues on Tuesday with a loaded 14-game slate, which in turn provides us with plenty of ways to get some skin in the game. I'm heading to the prop sheet tonight, where I've narrowed in on a trio of longshot home run prop bets. Here are three players who are primed to touch’em all.

Tuesday’s Best MLB Home Run Prop Bets

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Kyle Tucker (+425)

The Cubs (79-59) took care of the Braves (62-76) in yesterday's series opener, beating them 7-6 in 10 innings. The two sides are back at it tonight, and we have a starting pitching matchup between Joey Wentz and Shota Imanaga. First pitch is scheduled for 7:40 p.m. ET from Wrigley Field in Chicago, IL.

It has been an up-and-down season for Kyle Tucker, but the star outfielder may be finding a groove as we enter the home stretch of the 2025 campaign. In his last 10 games, Tucker is 14-for-37 (.378) with three home runs and four additional extra-base hits. He's up to 21 total home runs (52nd), launching one out of the park every 23.1 at-bats (58th).

Tucker draws a favorable matchup against Wentz, who hasn't been overpowering this season with a 4.92 ERA across three different teams. The most noteworthy metric is the head-to-head history, where Tucker is 3-for-4 (.750) against the southpaw with a home run. The Cubs are eighth in home runs (188) this season, and there's a good chance that Tucker and the rest of this lineup do some damage tonight.

Colson Montgomery (+320)

The White Sox (50-88) logged their second consecutive victory last night, taking down the Twins (62-75) in a 6-5 contest. They'll turn to Davis Martin to try and keep things rolling, while the Twins opt for Simeon Woods Richardson. This divisional matchup gets underway at 7:40 p.m. ET from Target Field in Minneapolis, MN.

Colson Montgomery made his MLB debut on July 4th, and he has already blasted 16 home runs this season. Over the same timeframe, only Kyle Schwarber (17 home runs) has more big flies than the rookie shortstop. He's homering once every 10.6 at-bats, which, if he qualified, would rank third behind only Cal Raleigh (10.1) and Schwarber (10.5) in at-bats per home run rate. Montgomery has gone deep in back-to-back games, and I'm playing him to leave the yard for a third night in a row.

Montgomery takes on Minnesota's Woods Richardson, who is putting together a pedestrian campaign with a 4.59 ERA and a 1.42 WHIP. Woods Richardson has been prone to giving up the longball, as his 1.60 HR/9 rate is the fifth-highest among today's starting pitchers. He has conceded six home runs across his last four outings, which span a measly 15 innings. I'll ride with Montgomery to stay hot and deposit one into the outfield bleachers.

Royce Lewis (+450

Keeping it in the same game, I'm also going to wager on Royce Lewis to go yard. The third baseman has struggled this season, hitting just .230 in 82 games. He only has 10 home runs on the year, but two of those bombs have come in his last four games. Lewis is 5-for-15 (.333) during the four-game sample size.

Lewis and his Minnesota teammates will take on Davis Martin, and they've seen him well in the past. The Twins' current roster is slashing .268/.375/.512 against him over 41 at-bats. Lewis is 2-for-4 (.500) with a home run and a double. Martin (4.03 ERA) brings in a slightly inflated 1.47 HR/9 rate. I'll lock in Lewis to homer for a second consecutive contest.
