Football might dominate the conversation on Sundays, but we also have a full slate of MLB games today. Let's look at our best prop bets for Sept. 17 as we continue our singles Ppop run.

Austin Riley Over 0.5 Singles (+120)

The Braves and Marlins will play today in Miami, with the Marlins looking for the series sweep. Righty Charlie Morton will be on the mound for the Braves, while lefty Jesus Luzardo is pitching for the Marlins. So far, this has been a high-scoring series, with 31 total runs scored through two games. I don’t expect this to continue today, as we have two very solid pitchers on the mound.

However, this gives us favorable odds on some talented hitters. Austin Riley is a player I’m targeting today, as I love this price for our singles prop (+120). He’s too talented of a hitter to pass up with the plus matchup vs. the lefty. He's batting .291 against lefties this season and has 11 hits in his past eight games. In addition, he’s batting over .300 in September and hits in the heart of the best lineup in baseball. Don’t overthink this one - take Riley to hit a single today with confidence.

Yordan Alvarez Over 0.5 Singles (+110)

The Astros and the Royals will face off on Sunday, with the Royals looking for the series sweep. The Astros have lefty Framber Valdez on the mound, while the struggling righty Jordan Lyles will throw for the Royals. Lyles has a 4-16 record and a 6.44 ERA in 2023. I'll lean toward the Astros due to this, and who better to bet on than the powerful Yordan Alvarez? He already has three hits in this series’ first two games and will look to continue this. He hits righties well, with a .294 batting average and 1.043 OPS In 2023 against righties. Take Alvarez over 0.5 singles at this price.

Mike Yastrzemski Over 0.5 Singles (-105)

The Rockies and Giants will face off today, with the Rockies looking for a rare four-game sweep. Sean Manaea will pitch for the Giants, while righty Chris Flexen will throw for the Rockies. Flexen has struggled this season (1-7, 7.22 ERA), so I am leaning toward the Giants to snap their three-game losing streak today. A batter I’m targeting is Mike Yastrzemski, who has the plus matchup against the righty. He hits righties well, boasting a .263 average and .864 OPS vs. them in 2023. I’m hoping he bats near the top of the lineup today to maximize his plate appearances, but nonetheless, I like him to find a base hit off Flexen early in the game.
