Alex Verdugo o1.5 TB (+135)
Verdugo got off to a slow start but as the season has gone on, he has regained his form and is once again hitting .280+. He does not strike out much and has moderate power but nothing jumps off the board. He gets to play in GABP and faces Chase Anderson today who has allowed a ton of extra-base hits thus far.
Josh Jung o0.5 HR (+425)
Jung has been a bit of a mixed bag thus far in his big league career. He has a nearly 50% K-rate to go along with three homers in his first 11 games. The power is legitimate and he gets to face a left-hander in Tucker Davidson. Two of Jung’s three homers thus far have come against lefties.
Kevin Gausman o6.5 K (+120)
On paper, this does not seem like a great matchup for Gausman. The Phillies do not strike out too much against righties and may make it difficult to get there for Gausman. However, he has had at least six Ks in each of his last five starts. I like this at plus money.
Corey Kluber o2.5 ER (+105)
Three of Kluber’s last four starts have come with him allowing three or more earned runs and today he faces the best offense he has seen in that stretch. This Astros lineup is powerful and dangerous and any pitcher outside of the best of the best where I can get plus money on allowing runs to this offense I will take that bet.
Lance Lynn u1.5 ER (+125)
After a slow start to the season, Lynn has turned back into the CY Young contender he once was. In his last seven starts, Lynn has allowed one of zero runs in five of them. The Cleveland offense is not the most dangerous in the game and as a result, I’ll take this bet.
