The 2026 Major League Baseball season is well underway, and we’re getting a pretty good sample size. We still have a little while to go before we can really depend on the data, but at least we’re not basing picks and plays on 2025 stats, etc. We came close to a 4-for-4 MLB player props day in this space last Monday, but missed our two strikeout pitcher projections by a half strikeout each.
On Monday night, the Chicago Cubs and Philadelphia Phillies meet at 6:40 p.m. ET at Citizens Bank Park on FS1, while the New York Mets and Los Angeles Dodgers meet at 10:10 p.m. ET on ESPN Unlimited. Below are our top MLB player props for Monday, April 13th.

Will Warren Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-125)
We’re going to pick on the poor Chicago White Sox and Colorado Rockies a lot this season, at least until they start to curb their strikeouts. However, neither team is on the schedule for Monday night. The Los Angeles Angels have struck out 159 times through 16 games, second-most in the American League. The Halos are in the Bronx at Yankee Stadium, facing righty Will Warren.
Warren hasn’t lasted longer than 5.2 innings in any of his three starts to date, and pitched 4.2 innings or fewer in two of those outings. However, he is averaging nearly a strikeout per inning this season - 14 strikeouts in 14.2 innings. If he can stick around a while against the Halos, he should be able to get to at least six strikeouts.
Nathan Eovaldi Over 6.5 Strikeouts (+112)
We’ll play another pitcher prop against another free-swinging team. The Athletics have managed an 8-7 record, good for a first-place tie with the Texas Rangers in the American League West during the early going, but they’ve struck out 154 times through 15 games.
Rangers righty Nathan Eovaldi has struggled with a 1-2 record, 7.98 ERA and 1.84 WHIP across 14.2 innings in three outings, but he has still managed to strike out seven batters in two of his three starts.
Last season, Eovaldi struck out eight batters in six innings against the A’s, allowing just one run on six hits. And, in 2024, he struck out 15 A’s in 12.2 innings in two starts. Look for Eovaldi to rack up the punchouts against the A’s in this one.
Oneil Cruz 2+ Hits + Runs + RBIs (-165)
Pirates outfielder Oneil Cruz matches up against Washington Nationals righty Cade Cavalli in the opener of a four-game series at PNC Park in Pittsburgh.
Cruz has the longest active hitting streak at 10 games, hitting .415 (17-for-41) with four homers, 12 RBI and three walks with a .467 on-base percentage (OBP) and .780 slugging rate. And, that’s the leadoff hitter for Pittsburgh, mind you. Look for Cruz to stay hot and hit this combo prop in the series opener.
Randal Grichuk 2+ Hits + Runs + RBIs (-145)
Yankees outfielder Randal Grichuk heads into this game looking for his first hit of the season. Through five games, he is 0-for-12 with three runs, zero walks and six strikeouts. So, why in the world would we trust the veteran to get one hit, let alone a combination of at least two hits + runs scored + RBIs?
Well, Angels lefty Yusei Kikuchi is toeing the slab for the visitors in the series opener, and Grichuk is 5-for-18 (.278) with a home run, three RBI and a walk in his career against the southpaw, while posting a .316 OBP, .444 slugging rate and .760 OPS. Look for Grichuk, who needs a knock, to get right against the Japanese southpaw.
