MLB Player Props & Bets: Saturday (6/27)

MLB Player Props & Bets: Saturday (6/27)

Today is Saturday, and we all know what that means: 15 MLB games on the schedule starting at 1:00 p.m. ET with a classic rivalry game between the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox. The slate wraps up at 9:38 p.m. ET with the Athletics visiting the Los Angeles Angels. That also means bettors have plenty of MLB player props to choose from today.

After careful consideration, the following are my top picks for the day.

Saturday’s Best MLB Player Props

(Odds courtesy of BetMGM unless otherwise specified)

Dylan Cease Under 17.5 Outs Recorded (+115)

Dylan Cease has pitched six or more innings (over 17.5 outs) in just five of his 14 starts this season and only once in his last five. Texas has been doing a good job of hitting the ball lately, recording a .269 batting average over the last week with 25 runs across six games.

Cease has done his best work at home, but has gone over this total just three times in eight home starts. With how Texas has been playing, this is a solid value play.

Josh Bell Over 0.5 RBI (+150)

Josh Bell leads the team in RBI with 51 and has recorded four over the last week across six games, despite only hitting .238. He has recorded at least one RBI in seven of his last 10 games.

Bell has hit well against Colorado starter Michael Lorenzen - .290 in 31 at-bats against him with two home runs and six RBI. With Lorenzen allowing four or more runs in five of his last nine starts and teams hitting .317 against him on the road, there is a good chance Bell records at least one RBI today.

Ryan Gusto Under 3.5 Strikeouts (-104 at FanDuel Sportsbook)

Ryan Gusto is not a strikeout pitcher. In six appearances across 18 innings, he has recorded 16 strikeouts, but only four when on the road, and just one in 4.2 innings against the Phillies and three in two innings against Washington.

With the Cardinals’ lineup striking out just 34 times across their last four games, don't count on Gusto recording more than three punchouts today.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto Over 18.5 Outs Recorded (+110)

San Diego just stomped all over the Dodgers last night, chasing the starter early and forcing the Dodgers to put their bullpen to work. There is a solid chance the Dodgers would love to not need to use the bullpen as much or as early tonight.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto can make that happen. He has gone six or more innings in seven of his last eight starts and recorded over 18.5 outs in five of his last seven games (including his last three road starts).

San Diego hit well last night, but Yamamoto is holding teams to a .185 batting average on the road. He’ll go over this total tonight.

Jack Perkins Under 15.5 Outs Recorded (-130)

In four starts, Jack Perkins has not made it beyond five innings and allowed between three and five runs in each game. Knowing that about him, the A's will probably have him on a short leash, making it unlikely he cracks that five-inning barrier today.
