If your mind is starting to drift to another sport being played on Saturdays - stop it. There will be time for that later. Today, we’re focusing on an exciting slate of MLB action and the best MLB player props from the day's slate.

There are plenty of great ones, of course. But the following are my top picks for the day.

Saturday’s Best MLB Player Props

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Blake Snell Under 6.5 Strikeouts (-101)

Blake Snell only has five games under his belt this season. If you look at this market and at his stat sheet, his 10-strikeout performance versus Kansas City a few weeks ago is probably making you pause. I get it.

However, that is the only game this season in which he went over this total. In the last week, the Tigers struck out more than six times against just one starting pitcher - Tarik Skubal last night. He’s one of the best strikeout pitchers in the league and had seven. The Tigers will not get too many hits off Snell, but he will not get too many punchouts either.

Daylen Lile 2+ Total Bases (+126)/3+ Total Bases (+260)

Daylen Lile has been one of the hottest hitters in baseball over the last week with 10 hits in 22 at-bats (.455). Six of those hits went for extra bases, including three home runs.

Lile has recorded two or more total bases in five of his last six games and three or more total bases in four of those five games. Marlins starter Sandy Alcantara is having a good season (1.18 WHIP, .240 opponents’ batting average). Teams are hitting .270 against him on the road.

Lile is 2-for-6 against Alcantara, and with how well he's hitting lately, I expect him to add to that total today.

Drake Baldwin 2+ Total Bases (-103)/3+ Total Bases (+197)

Much like Daylen Lile, Drake Baldwin has been red-hot over the last week, hitting .455 (10-for-22) with six extra-base hits, including three home runs. Ryan Feltner is scheduled to start for the Rockies. Teams are hitting .310 against him on the road. Atlanta has too many good hitters for Colorado to pitch around Baldwin.

If you want to be cautious, bet on Baldwin to record two or more total bases (especially in parlays). But +185 for three or more total bases is a solid value play.

Cristopher Sanchez Over 7.5 Strikeouts (-125)

If you just look at Cristopher Sanchez's totals in recent games, this number is a bit high; he's gone over it just once in his last 10 starts. But he recorded seven or more strikeouts in five of those games, including three out of five starts in August. Against an Angels team averaging nine punchouts per game over the last week, I like Sanchez’s chances of going over this total.
