(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Brandon Sproat Under 14.5 Outs Recorded (-112)
It’s safe to say Milwaukee’s Brandon Sproat is still finding his footing in the Majors. The second-year hurler has logged an uninspired 5.43 ERA and 1.40 WHIP through 13 appearances (61.1 innings).
Six of his 11 starts have lasted fewer than five innings. Not only that, but Sproat has yet to go beyond 88 pitches in an outing. The combination of a short leash and a lack of experience points toward the under.
Sunday’s showdown doesn’t do Sproat any favors, either. The Dodgers are a top-five offense in runs per contest (5.17), OPS (.774) and home runs (67). They also sport the highest on-base percentage (OBP) on the road (.363).
Los Angeles causes havoc on a daily basis and has already forced an opposing starter out of the game before the fifth inning concluded six times this month. Back Los Angeles’ superstars to put the pressure on Sproat.
Dylan Cease Over 8.5 Strikeouts (+113)
There’s no starting pitcher more closely linked to strikeouts than Toronto’s Dylan Cease. The crafty veteran leads all of baseball with 1,234 punchouts since the beginning of the 2020 campaign.
Cease has continued to work his magic in 2026, posting a stellar 36.5% whiff rate and 35.1% strikeout rate. Those are both top-six marks in the American League. Overall, Cease has tallied at least nine strikeouts in four of his previous six outings.
A home clash with the Pirates on Sunday gives Cease a chance to stay hot. Pittsburgh’s offense has recorded the highest whiff rate (27.2%) and racked up the second-most strikeouts (482) in the National League.
Outfielder Oneil Cruz and Brandon Lowe have been staples at the top of the Pirates’ lineup. They have combined to strike out eight times in 16 at-bats against Cease. Expect the Blue Jays flamethrower to exploit a fantastic matchup.
Hunter Goodman to Hit a Home Run (+310)
Arizona’s Ryne Nelson checks in outside the top 300 arms in hard-hit rate (45.3%), barrel rate (11.9%) and average exit velocity (91.2 miles per hour). A struggle to limit quality contact has led to the right-hander allowing a home run in seven of his 10 starts.
Another battle at Chase Field awaits Nelson on Sunday. Keep in mind that Arizona’s stadium ranks second in Statcast’s offensive park factors, behind only Coors Field.
The Rockies are in a great spot to tee off in the series finale. Catcher Hunter Goodman has been the team’s steadiest power bat in away contests, slashing .284/.336/.549 with eight homers and 14 RBI.
Take note that Goodman boasts a reliable 46.8% hard-hit rate and is slugging .603 versus relief pitchers. Goodman is a threat to leave the yard every time he steps to the plate. Lock in this wager for a shot at a healthy payout.
