Friday’s Best MLB PrizePicks Player Predictions
Tucker has hit safely in his last three games, and he has driven in seven runs during that span. He's also walked in four consecutive games and homered in two of his last three. Tonight, he will go up against Reid Detmers, which is a matchup that has been favorable for him in the past.

He is 5-14 in his career against Detmers with one double and three RBIs. In Detmers' last start, he gave up nine hits and seven earned runs in just 4.0 innings of action. It was his third consecutive game pitching 5.0 innings or less. A hot batter with a favorable matchup against a struggling pitcher makes this an easy over play.
Blackburn has looked phenomenal in his last two starts. He struck out seven batters in 6.0 innings in each game, and he only allowed two hits. While it may seem like Blackburn is turning a corner, it is worth noting that those two performances came against two of the most strikeout-prone teams in the MLB. Both the Giants and the Rockies are in the top five in the league in total strikeouts.
Tonight, Blackburn will face a much different team in the Washington Nationals. They're 29th in the league in total strikeouts, and though they don't chase many pitchers from games early, they don't offer many opportunities for strikeouts either. Blackburn's number is rightfully low, but it's not low enough.
In his third start with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Lynn has a solid matchup with the Colorado Rockies. The current Rockies' lineup has 45 at-bats against Lynn, and those appearances have resulted in 14 strikeouts.
Lynn has been pitching well since joining the Dodgers. He threw six strikeouts in his last start and seven in the start before that one. He is averaging one strikeout per inning with the Dodgers, yet we're still going with the under tonight. Lynn has only thrown more than eight strikeouts four times all season and just once in his past six starts. Even if this line were 7.5, it would be too high of a number.
