I've been getting really good at 2-1 picks days, so take that for what it's worth, but getting three wins has proved much harder than I would've anticipated. Everything seemed to be rolling so smoothly on Saturday, as both Zac Gallen and Corbin Carroll smashed their expectations and secured the overs. I thought Julio Rodriguez eclipsing 1.5 total bases would've been the easiest pick of the day but I guess not. His 0-for-5 performance really left a sour taste in my mouth after such a promising start. Nevertheless, we keep grinding and look to rebound today as a new week commences.
Overall record: 33-30-3

Sunday’s Best MLB PrizePicks Player Predictions
Daniel Vogelbach Over 0.5 Hitter Strikeouts
I'm doing it again, and I'm sure this will come back to bite me, but I simply need to hit on one of these Hitter Strikeout props before the season concludes. What better way to get in the win column there then by betting against a New York Mets player?

Daniel Vogelbach's playing time has increased of late, particularly following 3B Brett Baty's demotion to AAA. In response, Vogelbach has punched out eight times over the past seven games, including at least once in all but two of those affairs. The 30-year-old veteran has been a swing-and-miss guy his entire career, and nothing has changed on that front in 2023.
Yonny Chirinos will be starting for the Braves on Sunday night, and he is coming off two solid performances in which he struck out five batters in each. Vogelbach is primed to be one of his next victims, and it would not be surprising for him to even go down multiple times in this fashion.
Kyle Tucker Over 0.5 Runs
We're dipping back into the runs scored prop well on Sunday, as the rolling Houston Astros provide ample opportunity to score an easy win. Kyle Tucker has been one of baseball's hottest players over the past few months, and that comes with an innate ability to score runs at a high rate.
Tucker has already scored eight times in the first half of August, and that includes six runs scored over his past six games. He will be squaring off against Angels' starter Chase Silseth on Sunday, a young arm that should be no match against Tucker and company.
Houston as a team has been tearing the cover off of the ball lately, as they have averaged north of seven runs per game over their last eight. Tucker has extremely fine odds of adding to those gaudy numbers on Sunday night, and to hit on this prop he only needs to do it once.
Jose Herrera Under 0.5 Total Bases
I typically enjoy scouring through PrizePicks available props, looking for players that shouldn't have lines for certain reasons. Today's pick in that realm is Jose Herrera, a pretty much no-name catcher that will be starting behind the dish for the Diamondbacks on Sunday.
Herrera has just 76 at-bats across the 2023 campaign, and he is hitting just .211 with four extra-base hits in those appearances. He is going to bat at the end of the Arizona lineup, which should lessen his number of at-bats on Sunday, and is already amidst a massive continued slump.
Herrera has just one hit in four games this month, and just four hits over his past 12 games (4-for-29). He has been ice cold since way back in May, not exactly a great formula for all of a sudden breaking out three months later. Take the under on Herrera here with the understanding that his odds of logging a single total base on Sunday are substantially less than most other players on today's docket.
