Yesterday’s PrizePicks article did not lead to the best outcome. We finished 1-2 thanks to a horrific strike-three call on Mookie Betts in the Pirates game. That’s how the cookie crumbles sometimes, though. Let’s find ourselves a nice bounce back for Thursday, June 6.

Thursday’s Best MLB PrizePicks Player Predictions
MLB PrizePicks Record This Season: 31-28-1
Slade Cecconi Less Than 1.5 Walks
Cecconi isn’t anything to gawk at, but he does possess a decent feel for finding the zone. He is under this in six of eight starts this year, three of four last season as well, and his 56.9% zone% is t-27th among the 249 starters to throw this season.
The primary calling for this play though comes down to Cecconi’s limited pitch count. The Diamondbacks’ brass is only letting him go around 80 pitches or so. He also faces the Padres who don’t walk a ton either. San Diego is 24th in BB% (7.4%) against righties this season.
Brady Singer Less Than 4 Strikeouts
Looking for strikeouts when facing the Guardians is an arduous task for any starter. They’re 28th in K% (18.7%) against righties over the past 30 days. Playing in the same division, Cleveland is also very familiar with what Singer brings to the table.
The Guardians have faced Singer a combined 138 times, and own an impressive .386 xwOBA, and paltry 13.8% K% against him. Singer also isn’t known for his strikeout ability either, so let’s take the under here.
Reynaldo Lopez Less Than 5 Strikeouts
Lopez is coming off his best strikeout performance of the season, but that was against Oakland, who strikes out a ton. Lopez squares off with the Nationals in this one, who conversely, do not strike out a ton. They are 20th in K% (21.9%) over the past 30 days against righties.
Of the last 20 right-handers to face the Nationals, 14 have failed to go over this line, so let’s bank on that trend continuing for Lopez. He hasn’t eclipsed this mark in six of his 10 outings. The Braves typically don’t let him work past a pitch count in the mid-80s either.
