This Season: 81-88
Kershaw has struggled to strike out batters over the last couple of months, but we refuse to believe that his number should be this low against a team like the Marlins. Kershaw missed the whole month of July with an injury. Since returning, he has struck out 15 batters in four games.

Kershaw has struggled to strike out batters over the last couple of months, but we refuse to believe that his number should be this low against a team like the Marlins. Kershaw missed the whole month of July with an injury. Since returning, he has struck out 15 batters in four games.
Kershaw has yet to throw 80 pitches since returning, but he did throw 79 in 5.0 innings against the Diamondbacks the last time out. The Marlins have the fifth-most strikeouts in the league, and Kershaw has great career numbers against the team. He has recorded 16 strikeouts in 53 at-bats and allows just a .151 batting average. Look for Kershaw to announce that he is back tonight.
This number makes absolutely no sense. Pfaadt has struck out 64 hitters in 71.0 innings. He hasn't struck out more than five batters since Aug. 13, and he is going against the team with the lowest total strikeouts in the league.
Pfaadt has no experience against anyone in the Rockies lineup, so we have no history to base his performance on. But with how hard it is to strike out the Rockies' batters and Pfaadt not being a strikeout pitcher, we love this under.
Reynolds has hit safely in six consecutive games ahead of Tuesday night's matchup with the Brewers. However, his hitting streak will end tonight, as his numbers against Brandon Woodruff are horrible. In his lifetime, he is 2-16 with 10 strikeouts.
This season, Reynolds has hit safely in five of his eight games against the Brewers. Still, his numbers against the bullpen don't do anything to suggest that he is even remotely guaranteed to get a hit against them tonight.
