Coming into the matchup this LA roster is 14-for-35 with four home runs lifetime with Mike Trout being 10-for-16 with three home runs. Trout has been slumping during the Angels’ recent struggles, but this is a good opportunity to have a good night.
Patrick Sandoval will go for the Angels and has been really good this year with a 2.81 ERA. He does a fantastic job by keeping hitters off balance as he mixes his pitches evenly and his change-up has been especially good as batters are hitting .100 against the pitch with a whiff rate of 47.8. While the Mets don't strike out much, they are excellent at making contact, but not a hard-hitting team that plays right into Sandoval's approach.
