The Twins are currently playing excellent ball, winning 16 of their last 19 and roaring back into the American League Central race. The Phillies’ 28-12 start is among the best in the team's long history. The beginning of the season was OK, but they have been on an unbelievable run, winning 12 of their last 14. The offense has a .486 slugging percentage, and the pitching has a 2.74 ERA during that span. Zack Wheeler will get the ball, and he has been unhittable in his previous four starts, with a 0.36 ERA and opponents having a .406 OPS.
The Marlins are in the midst of a five-game losing streak, but they have lost a lot this year. The offense is struggling, as they are 26th in runs scored per game (3.63), and the pitching has been worse, as they are 29th in ERA (5.23). Braxton Garrett will make his 2024 debut after dealing with a left shoulder injury. He is a heavy sinker pitcher and will try to force opposition hitters to hit the ground.
