Detroit Tigers at New York Yankees

It's been a tough series for Detroit as they'll try to salvage one game. Detroit fans have to be happy with how the team is performing as they sit three games above .500, and with there being no dominant team in AL Central, they'll be in contention. Tarik Skubal gets the ball, and after a breakthrough in 2023, he's continued that into this season as he's seven with a 1.72 ERA and second with a 0.74 WHIP.
The Yankees are seeing Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge start to hit, and if they get hot, it will be tough to contain that lineup. Nestor Cortez Jr. gets the ball, and we have not seen the same pitcher as the one from 2022. The strikeout rate and the hard hit rate are both way down.
Look for this to resemble the series' first game and have a low score.

Toronto Blue Jays at Washington Nationals

The Blue Jays recovered from a meltdown in the first game to turn Sunday into a rubber match. Saturday's win broke a three-game losing streak, and this has been a story for the Blue Jays at the start of the season; they've looked great and won some games, then regressed. Alek Manoah has had a troubling calendar year; after an All-Star 2022 season, 2023 was so disastrous that he was sent down to rookie ball, and even this year, he had to start in the minors.
It is not time to trust Manoah against the best level, even if it's the Nationals. Washington should feel confident with MacKenzie Gore on the mound; he’s gone at least five innings, allowing three or fewer runs in each start with 11 strikeouts per nine innings.
