The trade deadline is over, and we saw some blockbusters happen. We now have less than two months left in the season, so we're mainly interested in seeing which teams stay competitive.
Sunday's Best MLB Same Game Parlay Bets
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Houston Astros at Detroit Tigers
-
- Leg 1: Astros -1.5 (-110)
- Leg 2: Under 8.5 Runs (-110)
- Leg 3: Jose Altuve 2+ Total Bases (+110)
Is this technically a revenge game? We know Justin Verlander hasn't pitched for the Tigers since 2017, but he's still playing in a stadium he called home. Verlander looked great towards the end of his tenure with the Mets and has transitioned that with the Astros going 3-1 with a 3.27 ERA.
It's been a turbulent year for Alex Faedo. He's missed time with an injury and has been optioned and recalled multiple times. He's on his best run of the season with a 2.87 ERA in the last three, but two of those are against the Twins, one of the worst offenses in the league.
Verlander and the Astros will grab a much-needed win as they don’t want to lose this series against an under-.500 team.

Cleveland Guardians at Toronto Blue Jays
-
- Leg 1: Blue Jays -1.5 (+100)
- Leg 2: Under 9.5 Runs (-130)
- Leg 3: Bo Bichette 2+ Total Bases (-135)
It has been an up-and-down season for Noah Syndergaard as he struggled with the Dodgers, was released, signed with the Guardians, and has had some excellent starts mixed with some bad ones. He saw the Blue Jays a couple of weeks ago, going 5.2 innings and allowing one earned in his only win for Cleveland.
Yusei Kikuchi has been the Blue Jays' most consistent pitcher over the last few weeks. Toronto is 5-2 in his previous seven starts, and Kikuchi has a 1.82 ERA and 2.06 FIP. One of the team losses was against the Guardians, but he was brilliant going seven innings, allowing one earned.
By the way, when we’re talking about this matchup, the Guardians should pull out a win, but the Jays aren’t going to let another good Kikuchi outing go to waste.

New York Yankees at Tampa Bay Rays
-
- Leg 1: Rays Moneyline (-125)
- Leg 2: Over 8.5 Runs (-125)
- Leg 3: Zack Littell 5+ Strikeouts (-110)
It has been a tough first year in the Bronx for Carlos Rodon. Two IL stints and just one quality start out of seven, and the Yankees are just 1-6 when he's on the mound. One of the six losses was earlier in the month to the Rays, where he allowed four earned in four innings.
Zack Littell has moved into the starting rotation after spending most of the season in the bullpen for the Red Sox and Rays. He's filled the role nicely and allowed three or fewer earned runs in three of the five starts.
It’s extremely difficult to trust the Yankees offense and any pitcher not named Gerrit Cole.
