MLB Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Wednesday (4/12)

Luis Robert Chicago White Sox

It’s a full slate of early and late games to fill your day. We have a couple of teams trying to pull out their brooms in their respective series finales while we get a rubber match in a division game.

Chicago White Sox at Minnesota Twins

Both teams have taken a game each, so we have a rubber match in this matinee.

The White Sox offense is hot to start the season as they lead the league in hits and doubles, and are fourth in average with Luis Robert Jr. leading the team by batting .347 with five home runs and 11 RBI. It's the pitching that's holding them back, and they are bottom three in both ERA and WHIP.

Lucas Giolito was torched in his last start against the Pirates, allowing seven earned in just four innings, and had trouble keeping his pitches around the plate.

The Twins are playing the opposite type of ball and their pitching leads the way. They have one of the best pitching staffs in the league and are right behind the Rays for second in ERA and WHIP.

After a tough few seasons in New York and Cincinnati, Sonny Gray has found a second life in Minnesota. He's carried that over into 2023 with a 0.75 ERA and is coming off a dominant start over the Astros, allowing just one earned and striking out 13.

Gray has a fair amount of success against this White Sox roster, and they're batting just .253 with a .374 slugging and .702 OPS. I like the home team to take the final game of this series.

Cincinnati Reds at Atlanta Braves

The Braves hit a rough patch and dropped three straight at home, but they have been able to rebound against the Reds and look for the sweep. What makes this team so dangerous is that they can rely on both their pitching and hitting to win, and we've seen over the last couple of seasons that combination leads to winning streaks.

That was proven in Spencer Strider's last start. He didn't have his best stuff, but the Braves offense put up seven runs for the win against San Diego.

The Reds had an excellent start to the season, winning three of their first five, but they are coming into this series finale having lost four of their last five.

Hunter Greene will get the start for the Reds, and in his sophomore season, it's more of the same. He's one of the hardest throwers in the league, but his problem is that he doesn't know how to locate his pitches. It doesn't matter if it comes in at 101 MPH, if it's coming straight, it's getting crushed.

The Braves have won each game by one run, but I like Strider to have a good outing and their lineup to get at Greene for a Braves win on the runline.

Parlay Odds: +562

Kansas City Royals at Texas Rangers

It will be another rough season for the Royals as they begin the year 3-9. The lineup has been dreadful and only the Tigers have fewer hits and runs.

Brad Keller is one of the players that this team can build on. He has some incredible movement to his pitches, and although he has some location issues, it hasn't hurt him in his first two starts.

The Rangers were busy in the offseason trying to upgrade this roster and it, so far, is working as they sit in 1st place in the AL West early on in the season. The team is scoring runs, but that brand new pitching staff has been amazing to start the season, ranking third in strikeouts and fifth in ERA.

Nathan Eovaldi hasn't been terrible in his first two starts. He got a ton of run support in that first one but then got zero in his last one. He should get plenty of run support tonight, and you cannot trust the Royals on offense, let alone against a good pitcher like Eovaldi.

Parlay Odds: +577
