Atlanta Braves at Toronto Blue Jays

The Braves are battling for their playoff lives and are tied with the Mets for the final Wild Card spot. They just need to keep pace for a few more weeks before playing a three-game series against them.

Chris Sale will need to continue his heavily favored Cy Young-winning season. He's having his best stretch, as he has five straight quality starts with a 1.34 ERA, and the Braves have won all five.

The Blue Jays snapped their four-game losing streak on Saturday. They were in contention in all those games and only had a -6 run difference.

They have an offense that hopefully will keep some key pieces together for the future, but the pitching has let them down most of the season, including recently blowing two separate four-run leads to the Phillies.

You can’t bet against the Braves when they have Sale on the mound.

Arizona Diamondbacks at Houston Astros

  • Leg 1: Over 8.5 Total Runs (-105)
  • Leg 2: Diamondbacks Over 3.5 Total Runs (-125)
  • Leg 3: Over 0.5 Total First Inning Runs (-115)

The Diamondbacks are playing well, and if they get into the playoffs, they will be a dangerous team. They already have the experience from playing in the World Series last year, and they have been hot in the second half.

There are still a few scenarios that could play out. They have a chance to win the National League West, but the National League Wild Card is close. They could also miss the playoffs.

Everybody is contributing at the right time. Ryne Nelson has improved since the start of the season. Over his last four starts, he has a 2.14 ERA.

The Astros also have championship aspirations. While they are only five games up, I feel like they have the division locked up. That's because the Mariners have been in freefall, which allowed Houston to make a 15-game swing to take this lead.

They have a lineup that delivers, but the pitching has also been reliable after struggling at the season. Since August 8, they are second in ERA (2.72).

Justin Verlander has surprisingly not helped and has struggled. Since his return, he has a 6.75 ERA in his last three starts.
