It's amazing how many close calls we've had this year with our same-game parlay (SGP) picks, but my record shows that it only takes a couple to become profitable. The two hits so far have been nice longshots, so despite the 2-13 overall record, we've still broken even on the year. That's why I'll remind you that hitting parlays is complicated and not something to expect any given night.
I'll come to you weekly with my favorite SGPs of the day. Remember, SGPs are high-risk/high-reward, so you aren't going to hit them frequently, but when you do, it's an incredible feeling. Remember to shop around for the best odds on any MLB picks or props highlighted below. Sportsbooks have different odds and other boosts. Houston Astros at Tampa Bay Rays MLB Same Game Parlay
- Leg 1: Astros -2.5 (+170)
- Leg 2: Hunter Brown Under 1.5 Earned Runs Allowed (+105)
- Leg 3: Jeremy Pena 2+ Total Bases (+105)
In case you can't tell, I expect this game to be all Houston, despite them playing on the road. Against the expected starting lineup for Tampa, Hunter Brown has let up a whopping .056 OPS, holding some of the Rays’ heavy hitters to go 0-for-17 at the plate.
The Astros starting pitcher has been on a roll and has only allowed two or more earned runs in one of his last seven starts. With Jeremy Pena leading off and his solid history against Taj Bradley, I expect his opportunity with his impressive .302 batting average this season will be plenty for him to strum some hits together.
Pena leads the team in multi-hit games (13) and extra-base hits (14). He is set up for success to lead Houston to an easy victory, keeping the Rays at bay.

Seattle Mariners at Chicago White Sox MLB Same Game Parlay
- Leg 1: Shane Smith Under 2.5 Earned Runs Allowed (-130)
- Leg 2: Mariners Moneyline (-155)
- Leg 3: No Runs First Inning (-125)
If there is a bet out there where you can select the under on the time of game, I'd take that because I expect this to be a quick one. Both rookie pitchers have been dealing this year. Shane Smith of the White Sox has only allowed three or more earned runs in one of his nine starts, but the Whtie Sox's bullpen ERA ranks 25th in the league.
Logan Evans for Seattle only has four starts under his belt, but he has a 2.57 ERA. The White Sox also have the third-worst offense in baseball regarding pure run scoring, so I can't say I'm afraid of them figuring out how to handle Evans with limited film. Even at home, they still rank 27th. I see this as a clean 4-1 Mariners win, so make of that what you will.
