MLB Same Game Parlays: Dodgers vs. Cubs (Wednesday)

Top MLB World Series PrizePicks Predictions: Game 4 (Tuesday)

We're back! Good morning! It feels weird with the games being so early in March, but I can't say I'm complaining. It's awesome to see the MLB expand and do these types of series and I wish they would do more of them. I'll be coming at you weekly with my favorite SGPs of the day. Last year, it was a decent season, finishing slightly above the money across the whole year. Remember, SGPs are high-risk, high reward, so you aren't going to hit them frequently but when you do it's an uncomfortable feeling. Usually, I'll cover multiple games but for now, here are a pair of my favorite SGPs for the second game of the Tokyo Series.

Wednesday's Best MLB Same Game Parlay Bets: Dodgers vs. Cubs

(Odds courtesy of Draftkings Sportsbook)

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Chicago Cubs

Roki Sasaki is going to become a household name in MLB if he isn't already. In his career in the NPB, he managed a 2.10 ERA with 505 strikeouts in less than 400 IP. His Spring Training opponents managed three hits against him across 7.0 IP, and he gets his first career start in his home country. He may be set on an innings limit but even if that's the case, the Cubs have not seen this type of pitcher before so even if he manages 5.0 IP, he's more than capable of getting to five strikeouts. The Dodgers bullpen has also proven once again to be dominant, giving the Cubs nothing yesterday in the series opener. Once Sasaki gets pulled, I again expect it to be lights out for the Cubs offense. Edman batting second is promising with the ability to get back to him in the order and he absolutely crushed against lefties, batting .412 last year against southpaws. Getting two total bases at plus money is a steal.

Parlay Odds: +500

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Chicago Cubs

While the first one focuses more on Chicago's inability to score, I think the Dodgers offense will heat up as the game progresses. But to start, Justin Steele has done an excellent job when facing the lineup the first time through, holding opponents to a .175 average in 2024. And I've mentioned that Sasaki will take a second to understand. I expect few runs to start the game. After that, I expect Ohtani to be a catalyst for some Dodgers offense. He mentioned how he felt nervous in the first game, so I expect the Japanese superstar to be a bit more relaxed and play with the home crowd. Steele actually has reverse splits against lefties and Ohtani still had an .867 OPS last year against lefties. Betting on Dodgers offense is always a comfortable play from me but more so against the Cubs bullpen.

Parlay Odds: +525
