Atlanta Braves vs. Cincinnati Reds

Let's lead off our same-game parlays with the Braves taking on the Reds. The Atlanta lineup should put up runs with Chris Paddack on the mound for Cincinnati. Plus, Grant Holmes has some strikeout upside in his own favorable matchup.

Paddack has struggled to a 6.86 ERA and 1.67 WHIP over nine outings this season. Maybe he won't be that bad moving forward, but he still has a 4.44 FIP with other concerning underlying metrics. The right-hander will now face a dangerous Braves offense in the hitter-friendly Great American Ball Park.

Atlanta has crushed right-handed pitching this season - .340 wOBA and 117 wRC+ versus righties, which both rank second in the Majors. Opposing teams in Paddack's games are averaging 6.1 total runs per game this year. Plus, they've gone over a 4.5 team total in eight out of nine games that Paddack has pitched. Meanwhile, the Braves have scored five or more runs in six of their last nine games.

Michael Harris and Dominic Smith can help lead the offensive charge for Atlanta today. Harris is batting .317 with an .899 OPS against right-handed pitching this year. He's also swinging a hot bat lately, with a .350 average and 1.116 OPS over his last nine games. Plus, Harris is hitting .362 with a 1.081 OPS on the road so far.

As for Smith, he should get the start with the right-handed Paddack on the mound. He's hitting .327 with an .877 OPS against righties this season. The lefty veteran is also swinging it well recently, with a .326 batting average and .844 OPS over his last 16 games. Paddack, by the way, is allowing a .311 average and .806 OPS to left-handed batters this year. That benefits Harris as well.

As the Atlanta offense does its thing, look for Holmes to rack up strikeouts. Admittedly, the strikeout totals haven't consistently been there for the Braves right-hander this season. He's only averaging 4.8 strikeouts per start, with five or fewer in eight of his 10 outings. Still, there's potential for more in this matchup.

The Reds have the league's fourth-highest strikeout rate against right-handed pitching (23.8%). They also have the second-highest strikeout rate at home (24.6%).

Plus, Cincinnati is striking out at a league-worst 29.1% clip over the past week. Holmes, meanwhile, could be due for positive regression on his strikeout numbers, based on a 33.6% chase rate (80th percentile) and 29% whiff rate (77th percentile).

Miami Marlins vs. New York Mets

Let's now turn our attention to a National League East divisional matchup. The Mets host the Marlins in what should be a lower-scoring game with both starting pitchers setting the tone. Grab the under to begin this same-game parlay, with a few pitching props added in.

Max Meyer is having a breakout season for Miami. The right-hander boasts a 2.52 ERA and 2.97 FIP over his first 11 starts. He's allowing just a .188 batting average with a career-best 27.2% strikeout rate. Meyer has also posted a 31.3% whiff rate, which ranks in the 88th MLB percentile, and a 33.3% chase rate (76th percentile).

The Marlins starter can keep it going against a Mets offense that's struggled a ton against right-handed pitching. Their .288 wOBA and 85 wRC+ in the split this season are both dead last in the Majors. Over the past week, New York has recorded a .217 wOBA, .162 batting average and 29.7% strikeout rate versus righties, which are all last in the league as well.

Meanwhile, Meyer has allowed two earned runs or fewer in eight of his last 10 starts. He's given up four hits or fewer in seven of his last 10 outings. Plus, he has at least six strikeouts in five of his last seven games.

On the other side, Mets starter Freddy Peralta can also post a good performance. The veteran has a 3.52 ERA this season, but he's been better than that lately. He recorded a 2.75 ERA in a seven-start stretch before giving up four runs last time out. Look for Peralta to bounce back in this home start.

The right-hander has allowed two earned runs or fewer in four of his last five home outings. He's also given up four hits or fewer in seven of his last 10 starts coming into this one.

Peralta will face a Miami offense that has a .292 wOBA versus righties over the past two weeks (21st). The Marlins are also bottom-tier on the road, with a .298 wOBA in away games (24th)
