It is a beautiful day out there. Am I right? It would be a great day to catch a ballgame, but if that's not in the cards for you, it's an even better one to get in on the action with an MLB same-game parlay (SGP).
Why a SGP? That's an easy question to answer: because of the potential payout and to make a great game even better to follow. The following are my top two for Tuesday, May 12th.

Tuesday’s Best MLB Same Game Parlay Bets
(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
Washington Nationals vs. Cincinnati Reds
- Leg 1: Over 10 Runs (-110)
- Leg 2: James Wood to Hit a Home Run (+240)
- Leg 3: Elly De La Cruz 3+ Hits + Runs + RBI (+110)
It's a big total, especially since the Reds’ offense has not been too active of late, generating just 17 runs over the last week (five games). Both pitchers have been very hittable (Mikolas– .291 OBA, Singer– .321 OBA), and have high ERAs (Mikolas-7.44, Singer-5.63). If there is ever a game that is screaming for more than ten runs to be scored, it is this one.
Wood leads the team with 11 home runs so far this season. He has six hits in 18 at-bats spread over the last five games, three of which resulted in extra bases. Red starter Brady Singer has given up eight home runs this season, four to lefties, who have hit .374 against him.
Elly has been hitting well over the last week (.381) and has a solid history against Mikolas (.333 BA). He had 3+ hits/runs/RBI in three of his last five games. Against a starting pitcher against whom teams are hitting .291, I like the chances the Reds will have players on base for Elly to hit home runs and for him to follow through on his end.
Parlay Odds: +617 – A $100 wager will result in a $717 payday, your stake plus $617 in winnings.
San Francisco Giants vs. Los Angeles Dodgers
- Leg 1: Over 8.5 Runs (-122)
- Leg 2: Adrian Houser Under 3.5 Strikeouts (-154)
- Leg 3: Max Muncy to Hit a Home Run (+340)
I hesitate to go for the over a little here since the Dodgers lineup has not been hitting well over the last week (.223). But Adrian Houser may be just the starter LA needs to face (6.19 ERA, 1.54 WHIP, .298 OBA). Dodgers hitters have gone .281 against him in 57 at-bats. Dodgers starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto will be much harder to hit (1.01 WHIP, .215 OBA).
But he has given up three earned runs per game over his last three starts. If he does so again today, I think the Dodgers’ lineup can take care of the rest.]
The Dodgers have been striking out 8+ times per game over the last week (five games, 4s Ks). But Houser is not a strikeout pitcher. He has had 4+ strikeouts in just one of his seven starts this season.
Dodger Stadium is one of the most home run-friendly parks in baseball. Houser has given up seven home runs, four of them on the road, and five of them to lefties. Muncy is tied for the team lead in home runs with 11, is a lefty at the plate, and has hit seven of his 11 home runs at home.
Parlay Odds: +747 – A $100 wager will result in a $847 payday, your stake plus $747 in winnings.
