Star Wars fans were certainly glad to see that the Force was with their favorite team/players on May the 4th. But will it be with them today? It would be nice, but bettors may not want to count on it when betting on MLB Same Game Parlays today.
However, maybe...just maybe...if we can call on the Sith (on May the 5th) to tap into the Dark Side, we can get a helping hand.

MLB Same Game Parlays & Picks: Tuesday (5/5)
(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Houston Astros
Leg #1: Dodgers -1.5 (-125)
I hesitate to say that a team hitting .300 over the last week with a solid, young pitcher on the mound will lose by 2+ runs-but they will. The Dodgers shut down Houston's lineup yesterday, winning 8-3 in the end. With Shohei Ohtani on the mound today, I wouldn't expect much from the Astros offense.
Leg #2: Shohei Otani, Over 6.5 strikeouts (-120)
Ohtani has gone six innings in each start and will likely go as long tonight, if not longer. So, he'll have plenty of time to strike out over 6.5 Houston batters (who have averaged nine strikeouts a game over the last week). Ohtani went over this mark in his last three starts. Expect him to do so again tonight.
Leg #3: Max Muncy, to record 2+ total bases (+100)
Of the players on the Dodgers roster with 100+ at-bats, Muncy is one of two hitting .300+. He has faced Lambert 12 times and connected in four at-bats against him, three of them doubles. Muncy has hit safely in his last four games and in nine of his last ten, with a walk in six of his last ten.
SGP Odds: +422 - A $100 wager will result in a $522 payday, your stake plus $422 in winnings.
Atlanta Braves vs. Seattle Mariners
Last night's game was a close one, but the Braves will be the better team tonight. Atlanta has the highest batting average in baseball (.275) while Seattle is closer to the bottom of the league at .230. George Kirby is having a solid year and may contain the Braves offense for a few innings, but not entirely. Bryce Elder, on the other hand, has done a great job for the Braves and should be able to control the Seattle offense.
Yes, they went over this number last night, but we have two starting pitchers who are much better than the ones who started yesterday. Bryce Eldrer and George Kirby have been pitching well and will not let either offense get out of hand.
Leg #3: Ozzie Albies, to record 2+ total bases (+125)
Albies is hitting .331 this season and .400 over the last week (10-25). He's hit safely in his last 15 games with multi-hit performances in seven games and 2+ bases in nine. Kirby is a decent pitcher, but if anyone is going to record 2+ bases in this game, it's Albies.
SGP Odds: +714 - A $100 wager will result in an $814 payday, your stake plus $714 in winnings.
