The good times continue to roll via Sleeper. We managed to bust out the brooms for a 3-0 sweep last Friday, moving the season record to 63-35. A 64% hit rate is extremely difficult to maintain for the rest of the season, but you best believe I’ll do my best to keep it close to that. Here are three of my favorite Sleeper player predictions for Monday, May 13.

MLB Sleeper Picks Player Predictions
Sleeper Record: 63-35
Sixto Sanchez isn’t a good pitcher, but he can find the zone and won’t be out there long. He has maxed out at 68 pitches through his first three starts, staying under this in two of his three outings. His 48.2% zone% is 37th out of 404 pitchers who have thrown at least 10 innings this season.
Sticking with the no-walk theme, look to the starter who rarely issues a free pass in Zach Eflin. He ranks in the 98th percentile in BB% amongst starters this season and has stayed under this line in seven of his eight starts. Last season he stayed under this in 25 of his 31 starts. Add that all up and we’re looking at an 82% hit rate over the last two seasons.
Why stop with two walk unders when you can have three? Similar to Eflin, George Kirby is known to have some of the best control in the game and ranks in the 96th percentile in BB% this season. Not allowing a walk is a difficult test for any starter but that’s why we’re getting this tasty 2.16x price. Plus, Kirby has a good matchup to make it happen. The Royals swing at just about everything and have the fifth-highest swing% this year. They are 21st in BB% (8.2%) against right-handed pitching. At these odds, he’s worth a swing on the under.
