We closed out last week by busting out the brooms for a 3-0 sweep on Friday. Let’s try to carry that momentum over for the start of this new week. Only seven games take place this Monday, July 8, but that doesn’t mean there will be a shortage of picks. Here are three of my favorite player props via Sleeper for today.

MLB Sleeper Picks Player Predictions
Sleeper Record: 126-77 (62%)
Chris Paddack Fewer Than 3.5 Strikeouts (2.03x)
Chris Paddack returns to the mound for the first time since June 21. He didn’t make a rehab start, so a limited pitch count is inevitable, and finishing with less than 70 pitches wouldn’t be shocking whatsoever. Paddack has been very inconsistent throughout the year as it is, and some rust could just make matters worse for him. With Luis Robert Jr. and Eloy Jimenez back in the fold, this White Sox lineup isn’t as easy to navigate as it was in the past, so let’s take a shot on the under here at a palatable price.
Miles Mikolas Fewer Than 3.5 Strikeouts (1.88x)
Finding punchouts against the Nationals is difficult for any starter these days. Washington is 29th in K% (17.5%) and 10th in wRC+ (112) facing righties over the past 30 days. This is a very short line for someone who will likely go around six innings, but Mikolas hardly ever strikes anyone out. He ranks in the third percentile in swinging strike rate and 22nd in K% amongst starting pitchers.
Mitch Keller Fewer Than 5.5 Strikeouts (1.67x)
Taking on the Grimace Mets is not a welcomed sight for opposing pitchers right now. New York is second in wRC+ (131) and 27th in K% (18.2%) against righties over the past two weeks. 12 of the past 15 right-handed starters to face them have failed to eclipse this mark. Keller is an adequate pitcher, but nothing that the Mets shouldn’t be able to handle, given the way they have bene hitting.
