Friday’s Best MLB Underdog Fantasy Player Predictions
Tyler Fitzgerald HIGHER 7.5 Fantasy Points
Tyler Fitzgerald has killed lefties in his young career. According to FanGraphs, Fitzgerald has hit six homers in 79 career plate appearances against lefties with a .329 OBP, .307 ISO and 157 wRC+. The youngster also has wheels, swiping seven bases in 47 games and 135 plate appearances this season. Andrew Abbott isn’t a bad matchup, either. This year, the young lefty has allowed a .325 wOBA to 375 right-handed batters.
Heliot Ramos HIGHER 7.5 Fantasy Points
Like Fitzgerald, Heliot Ramos has a stellar matchup. Both Fitzgerald and Ramos also have outstanding park factors. According to FantasyPros, Great American Ball Park has park factors of 1.133 for runs and 1.406 for homers. And, of course, Ramos is a monster against lefties, ripping eight homers with a .390 OBP, .291 ISO and 173 wC+ in 146 career plate appearances against southpaws.

Austin Riley HIGHER 8.0 Fantasy Points
Austin Riley is locked in. In his previous 102 plate appearances, he’s slugged five homers with a .324 OBP, .247 ISO and 131 wRC+. The veteran slugger is also stellar in same-handed matchups. Since 2022, Riley has had a .333 OBP, .219 ISO and 123 wRC+ against right-handed pitching. Finally, the Braves should award him ample run-production opportunities against Valente Bellozo. The 24-year-old righty had a 4.60 ERA in Double-A and a 4.67 ERA in Triple-A this year, as well as a 4.50 ERA in two starts for the Marlins this season.
Mark Vientos HIGHER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
Mark Vientos is having a massive season at the dish. In 63 games and 246 plate appearances this year, he’s hit 16 homes with a .286 batting average, .267 xBA, .563 slugging, .510 xSLG, .277 ISO, 34 runs and 42 RBIs. Vientos is also a lefty killer and shows no signs of slowing down in a breakout campaign. In 194 career plate appearances against lefties, Vientos has hit nine homers with a .278 batting average, .325 OBP, .511 slugging and .233 ISO. Furthermore, in his last 91 plate appearances and 23 games, he’s hit six homers with a .265 batting average, .319 OBP, .554 slugging, .289 ISO, nine runs and 15 RBIs.
