Jose Berrios HIGHER 33.5 Fantasy Points
Jose Berrios is in a groove. According to FanGraphs, in his previous eight starts spanning 53.2 innings, Berrios had a 1.51 ERA, 3.37 xFIP, 3.63 SIERA, 0.88 WHIP, 4.4 BB%, 22.7 K%, 30.1 CSW%, 94 Stuff+, 105 Location+, 100 Pitching+ and eight quality starts.
He should stay hot in a favorable matchup tonight. The Marlins are lousy against righties and on the road, ranking tied for 26th in wRC+ (90) with a 23.4 K% and 28th in wRC+ (80) with a 24.8 K%, respectively. Miami was also tied for 15th in wRC+ (95) with a 27.0 K% in the previous 14 days. Thus, the Blue Jays are -225, and the game’s total is 8.0 runs.
Jonathan Aranda HIGHER 1.5 Total Bases (Scorcher 1.23x)
Jonathan Aranda has made the most of his most recent opportunity in the majors. In 78 plate appearances since he was recalled from Triple-A, Aranda has hit five doubles and five homers with a .254 batting average, .535 slugging and .282 ISO. Aranda has surpassed 1.5 total bases in four of his previous five starts. Corbin Carroll HIGHER 1.5 Total Bases
Corbin Carroll is locked in. In his previous 27 games and 122 plate appearances, he’s hit five doubles, two triples and six homers with a .275 batting average, .539 slugging and .265 ISO. The left-handed-hitting outfielder’s track record against righties is also stellar. In 1,022 career plate appearances against righties, he’s hit 49 doubles, 22 triples and 38 homers with a .264 batting average, .505 slugging and .236. Finally, according to Baseball Savant, in 13 career plate appearances against Darvish, Carroll has hit one double and one homer with a .545 batting average, .357 xBA, .909 slugging and .599 xSLG.
Joc Pederson HIGHER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
Joc Pederson has excelled as a platoon hitter. In 1,150 plate appearances against righties since 2022, Pederson has hit 57 homers with a .268 batting average, .368 OBP, .505 slugging and .236 ISO. He’s also in decent form. In Pederson’s previous 21 games and 65 plate appearances, he’s hit three homers with nine runs, six RBIs, a .255 batting average, .359 OBP, .436 slugging and .182 ISO.
