Friday’s Best MLB Underdog Fantasy Player Predictions
Francisco Lindor HIGHER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (0.89x)
Francisco Lindor has been an unstoppable force lately. According to FanGraphs, in his previous 27 games and 122 plate appearances, he’s hit eight homers and stolen three bases with 24 runs, 20 RBIs, a .402 OBP, .325 ISO and 201 wRC+. The switch-hitting shortstop has exceeded 1.5 hits plus runs and RBIs in seven straight contests and 12 of 15.
Brandon Nimmo HIGHER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
Lindor hits directly ahead of Brandon Nimmo, correlating their “higher” selections. Both batters have a favorable matchup tonight. Fernando Cruz has allowed a .273 batting average, .368 OBP and .545 slugging to 114 lefties this season. Cruz has also struggled mightily with men on base, coughing up a .243 batting average, .363 OBP and .466 slugging to 125 batters faced with a runner on base.
As for Nimmo, he’s a handful for righties. In 1,319 plate appearances against right-handed pitchers since 2022, Nimmo has had a .255 batting average, .361 OPB and .187 ISO.

Marcus Semien HIGHER 7.5 Fantasy Points
The Rangers have a cushy matchup against a rookie lefty without adequate seasoning in the upper minors. Samuel Aldegheri has started only six games in Double-A and zero in Triple-A. Unsurprisingly, Aldegheri didn’t take the majors by storm in his first big-league start. Instead, he had a 3.60 ERA, 4.92 xERA, 8.03 xFIP, 1.60 WHIP, 7.4 BB%, 11.1 K%, 3.8 SwStr% and 24.1 CSW%.
The Rangers can blast off tonight, starting with Marcus Semien atop their lineup. In 573 plate appearances against lefties since 2022, Semien has hit 14 homers with a .351 OBP, .166 ISO and 121 wRC+.
Josh Jung HIGHER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
Josh Jung has teed off on lefties in his career. In 183 career plate appearances against southpaws since debuting in 2022, Jung has hit 13 homers with a .308 batting average, .350 OBP, .279 ISO and 158 wRC+.
The right-handed-hitting third baseman has also settled into a groove. In his previous 12 starts and 50 plate appearances, he’s hit two homers with eight runs, five RBIs, a .333 batting average, .360 OBP and .146 ISO. Jung exceeded 1.5 hits plus runs and RBIs in eight of those contests.
