Graham Ashcraft LOWER 26.5 Fantasy Points
Graham Ashcraft has unsuccessfully navigated his hitter-friendly home ballpark. According to FanGraphs, in 150.0 career innings at home, Ashcraft has had a 5.46 ERA, 4.42 xFIP, 1.40 WHIP, 7.8 BB%, 16.4 K% and 1.44 HR/9. According to FantasyPros, Great American Ball Park has the third-highest park factor for runs (1.133) and the highest for homers (1.406). Thus, it’s not surprising Ashcraft has struggled in Cincinnati.
Jarred Kelenic HIGHER 0.5 Total Bases
Jarred Kelenic is a carryover from yesterday’s piece. Thankfully, he delivered, hitting his first homer of the season. In 80 plate appearances against righties this season, Kelenic has a .284 batting average. Moreover, he’s had a hit in 14 of 21 starts. Nick Pivetta isn’t a cupcake matchup. Still, it’s the righties first start since landing on the injured list after his turn on April 3. So, Pivetta might be rusty.
Mike Yastrzemski HIGHER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
Peter Lambert is a train wreck at home. In 101.2 innings at home in his career, he has had a 6.99 ERA and 5.18 xFIP. The right-handed hurler has also ceded a .397 wOBA to lefties in Colorado.
Meanwhile, Mike Yastrzemski has taken advantage of MLB’s most hitter-friendly venue. According to Baseball-Reference, in 146 career plate appearances at Coors Field, the left-handed-hitting outfielder has hit 10 doubles, one triple and 10 homers with a .289 batting average, .370 OBP and .617 slugging. Yastrzemski has had 31 runs, 37 hits and 33 RBI in 35 games (32 starts) at Coors Field.
Nick Ahmed HIGHER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
Nick Ahmed is a glove-first shortstop. Nevertheless, his bat has come alive in the Rocky Mountain air. In 183 plate appearances at Coors Field, Ahmed has hit 13 doubles, three triples and eight homers with a .335 batting average, .399 OBP and .598 slugging. In 52 games (42 starts) at Coors Field, Ahmed has scored 33 runs with 55 hits and 35 RBI.
Fortunately, his matchup is also cushy. Lambert doesn’t struggle with only lefties at Coors Field. He’s surrendered a .386 wOBA to 254 righties at home in his career.
