Phoenix Suns (-800) at Memphis Grizzlies (+560) | O/U 229.5 (-108/-112

The Suns (41-33) and Grizzlies (25-49) meet at FedEx Forum at 8:00 p.m. ET. The teams have split the first two meetings, with the road team winning each game. Phoenix has cashed in each outing.

On January 7th, Phoenix posted a 117-98 win as a 5.5-point favorite as the under (231.5) cashed. That actually halted a six-game win streak by the Grizzlies. The Suns have won four straight matchups, while the under is 3-1 in the past four, and 5-1 across the previous six installments.

Phoenix is coming off a 134-109 win over the Utah Jazz on Saturday, cashing as a 17.5-point favorite, as the over (232.5) cashed. The Suns have won two of their past three games, while covering three in a row. That comes after a five-game losing streak. The Suns are on an 8-3 against the spread (ATS) across the past 11 games, while the over has a 6-4 edge across the previous 10 outings.

Memphis edged the Chicago Bulls 125-124 as a 5-point underdog on Saturday, as the over (247.5) cashed, halting a five-game losing streak. It has covered two in a row, while going 2-3 ATS in the past five games. The over has cashed in three of the past four outings.

The Suns will be without Dillon Brooks (hand), Amir Coffey (ankle), Haywood Highsmith (knee) and Mark Williams (foot), while the Grizzlies won’t have Brandon Clarke (calf), Ty Jerome (ankle), Ja Morant (elbow) and Jaylen Wells (toe). Taj Gibson (foot), Olivier-Maxence Prosper (wrist) and Javon Small (back) are each doubtful. Walter Clayton Jr. (ankle) and DeJon Jarreau (elbow) are each listed as questionable. Who will possibly be available? How is Memphis going to score?

Let’s back the Suns to get the job done on the road, even though Phoenix has no business laying double digits to most teams. Memphis is just too banged up with no interest in winning at this point. We’ll go high on the total based on the trends.

Picks: Suns -13 (-110) & Over 229.5 Points (-108)

Cleveland Cavaliers (-1500) at Utah Jazz (+870) | O/U 243.5 (-110/-110

The Cavaliers (46-28) meet the Jazz (21-54) at Delta Center in Salt Lake City at 9:00 p.m. ET, as former Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell returns to Salt Lake City. In last season’s win, Mitchell led the Cavs to a 120-91 win over the Jazz on March 23rd, 2025. He was rather mediocre with 16 points, four assists, three rebounds and two steals, while missing all five of his three-point attempts.

Cleveland has won four of the past five meetings since December 20th, 2023, with the Cavaliers holding a 3-2 ATS edge. The Cavaliers are 6-3 ATS in the past nine meetings, with the over holding a 4-2 edge in the past six in the series.

Jarrett Allen (knee), Max Strus (foot), Jaylon Tyson (toe) and Dean Wade (ankle) are all out for the Cavaliers. As far as the Jazz, Isaiah Collier (hamstring), who has been impressive lately, is sidelined. Keyonte George (hamstring), Jaren Jackson Jr. (knee), Lauri Markkanen (hip) and Jusuf Nurkic (nose) will also miss this game.

Cleveland has won five of their past six games, but is just 2-5 ATS in its past seven outings and 3-7-1 ATS in the past 11 games. In its past seven games when laying 9.5+ points, Cleveland is just 1-5-1 ATS.

Utah has dropped five in a row, while winning only once in the past 10 games. The Jazz are a respectable 9-7 ATS in the past 16 games as a double-digit underdog. While Utah has a lot of talent on the shelf, so does Cleveland, who haven’t been able to get the job done laying big points. Take the Jazz at home, and we’ll go low on the total because of all of the injuries.

Picks: Jazz +17.5 (-110) & Under 243.5 Points (-110)
