Milwaukee Bucks (+144) at Toronto Raptors (-172) | O/U 237.5 (-110/-110)
The Bucks (5-2) and the Raptors (3-4) meet at Scotiabank Arena at 7:30 p.m. ET in Toronto, and it’s the second meeting of the season between these teams.
Milwaukee won 122-116 as a 2-point underdog on October 24th in Toronto, winning and covering for the fourth consecutive time in this series, while the over has cashed in each of the past three meetings.
In that 122-116 win, Giannis Antetokounmpo went off for 31 points, 20 rebounds, seven assists and a blocked shot with two three-pointers. Cole Anthony added 23 points on 9-of-14 from the field, while adding seven assists and four boards. Ryan Rollins went for 13 points with three steals, too. Toronto’s Brandon Ingram had 29 points, but the Raptors turned it over 16 times, and that was the difference.
Milwaukee has failed to cover in the past two games, but it is still 5-2 against the spread (ATS) this season, and the over is 5-2, too. Toronto is 2-4 ATS in the past six games, with covers in the past two, while the over has a 4-3 edge on the season. Again, though, Milwaukee won and covered in the first meeting, and the over cashed. That’s the way we’re going here, too.
Picks: Buck +4.5 (-114) & Over 237.5 Points (-110)
Charlotte Hornets (+112) at New Orleans Pelicans (-132) | O/U 234.5 (-110/-110)
The Hornets (3-4) hit the road to face the Pelicans (0-6) at 8:00 p.m. ET in New Orleans. It might have to do so without LaMelo Ball (ankle), as he is a question mark, while Brandon Miller (shoulder) is also sidelined.
Still, New Orleans is winless in six tries this season, and Zion Williamson carries a questionable tag into this game due to a bum hamstring.
Charlotte picked up a 126-103 win over the Utah Jazz on Sunday, bouncing back after a 122-105 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday in the front end of a back-to-back set. The Hornets are 4-3 ATS in seven games to date, and 2-1 ATS in three road contests. The over has cashed in all three games on the road, too.
The Pelicans have dropped all six games to date, and they’re just 1-4-1 ATS in six tries so far. The over has a 4-2 edge, too. At home, NOLA is 0-1-1 ATS, and it split the over/under 1-1.
Let’s roll with the Hornets to get the job done, and we’ll go high on the total.
Picks: Hornets Moneyline (+112) & Over 234.5 Points (-110)
Oklahoma City Thunder (-300) at Los Angeles Clippers (+245) | O/U 222.5 (-110/-110)
The Thunder (7-0) and the Clippers (3-3) meet at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. Oklahoma City has won five straight meetings in this series, while going 4-0-1 ATS in the span. The under has cashed in three of the past four meetings, too.
The defending champs are unbeaten, while covering the past two games, the first time cashing in back-to-back games. The over has cashed in each of the past two games, too. After back-to-back double-overtime games to start for Oklahoma City, it has allowed 108 or fewer points in each of the past five games.
The Clippers suffered a 120-119 loss to the Miami Heat on Monday night, and now it is playing the second end of a back-to-back. It failed to win as a 7.5-point favorite as the over (227) cashed, and it has dropped two of the past three games, while failing to cover four straight, with a 1-5 ATS mark in the past six contests. The over is 4-2 in the past six games.
Let’s take Oklahoma City to get the job done by at least four buckets, and we’ll go high on the total.
Picks: Thunder -7.5 (-106) & Over 222.5 Points (-110)
