The first round of the NBA playoffs continues Sunday with a four-game slate featuring both No. 1-8 seed and No. 2-7 seed matchups. But just because the No. 1 and 2 seeds are favorites does not necessarily mean picking them to win is the best bet you can make for each game.
After reviewing each game carefully, the following are the best bets and NBA picks for Sunday's playoff game 76ers vs. Celtics.

NBA Picks & Predictions: 76ers vs. Celtics
Philadelphia 76ers vs. Boston Celtics
The 76ers went 2-2 against the Celtics this season, with both wins coming at home. However, three of the games, including both of Philly's wins, were by a single point. So, had one play gone differently in each, the outcomes could have been different in both matchups.
Boston won the fourth matchup by 16 points. While there were several differences in that game compared to the first three, there is one that stands out-no Joel Embiid for the 76ers. As it turns out, he will not be available for this game. His absence will certainly have an impact on the 76ers’ defense, which the Celtics will undoubtedly look to exploit.
- My Pick: Celtics -12.5 at -110 (DraftKings)
Without Embiid, the 76ers were 21-23 this season and averaged just 112.9 points. Against a Boston defense that was first in points allowed (107.2 points per game) and fourth in defensive rating (111.7), the 76ers, minus Embiid, will find it even harder to score. It's a big spread, but I don't think the 76ers will be able to slow down Jaylen Brown or Jayson Tatum.
In 10 of 15 games in which the Celtics were favored by 10.5 to 15.5 points, Boston covered. Embiid's absence is going to be huge on both ends of the court for the 76ers.
