The first round of the NBA playoffs continues Sunday with a four-game slate featuring both No. 1-8 seed and No. 2-7 seed matchups. But just because the No. 1 and 2 seeds are favorites does not necessarily mean picking them to win is the best bet you can make for each game.
After reviewing each game carefully, the following are the best bets and NBA picks for Sunday's playoff game Suns vs. Thunder.

NBA Picks & Predictions: Suns vs. Thunder
Phoenix Suns vs. Oklahoma City Thunder
The odds are certainly against the No. 8 seed Suns, but Phoenix played some good basketball against the Thunder this season. Yes, OKC won the season series 3-2, but the Suns won two of the last three (though in the regular-season finale, the Thunder sat out the starting five and most of the rotation).
So, against the real OKC lineup, the Suns went 1-3. One win was by four points, another by 49, and the third by 27.
- My Pick: OVER 214.5 at -111 (Fanatics)
OKC owns one of the league's best defenses and should shut down a tired Phoenix team. The Thunder should cover this spread (-14 via Fanatics), but they covered just nine of 15 games as 12.5- to 15.5-point favorites. Still, these teams pushed the final score well over this number in four of five meetings this season. The lone outlier missed the over by a bucket.
