NBA Picks & Predictions: Suns vs. Thunder (Wednesday)

NBA Picks & Predictions: Suns vs. Thunder (Wednesday)

There are only two NBA games being played on Wednesday. The Detroit Pistons will look to avenge a Game 1 loss to the Orlando Magic. While I expect the Pistons to even the series, below I explain why I think the Magic are going to make things difficult for them. Then, I highlight why I expect the Oklahoma City Thunder to dominate the Phoenix Suns again. Here are the best NBA picks and bets for Wednesday, April 22’s game Suns vs. Thunder.

NBA Picks & Predictions: Suns vs. Thunder (Wednesday)

Odds provided by DraftKings Sportsbook

Phoenix Suns vs. Oklahoma City Thunder – Largest Lead of the Game: 26 or More (-105)

In Game 1 of this best-of-seven series, the Thunder very nearly built up a 26-point lead before the midway point of the second quarter. They ultimately went on to win the game by 35 points.

While the spread for this game has dropped from 19.5 to 17.5, I firmly believe that the Thunder are going to dominate once again. Even if they don't win by as much as they did in Game 1, I would be shocked if they don't build up a lead of at least 26 points at some point during this game.

After all, the Thunder have now beaten the Suns by at least 27 three times this season. And in the two games where the Thunder played all their starters, but either won by single digits or lost, they still managed to build up leads of at least 15 points over the Suns. The Thunder finished the year with the second-best scoring defense in the league, and they've held the Suns to less than 90 points twice this season. This game is very likely to be just as much of a blowout as Game 1.
