NBA Picks & Predictions: Thunder vs. Spurs (Sunday)

NBA Picks & Predictions: Thunder vs. Spurs (Sunday)

The downside this time of year for the NBA is that we only have one game to bet on today - Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals between the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs. However, it also means bettors can focus all their attention on one game. With that in mind, the following are my best NBA picks for Sunday, May 24th.

Oklahoma City Thunder at San Antonio Spurs

Thunder Moneyline (+116)

With how the last games went, I'm a little surprised that the Thunder are underdogs in this game. If San Antonio had a better response in Game 3 after losing Game 2 in Oklahoma City, I could see Oklahoma City as the underdog in this game.

However, they didn't. The Thunder bench came up big in Game 2 and even bigger in Game 3. Spurs fans are hoping their team will come through, knowing their backs are against the wall, and they may.

The way Oklahoma City has played the last two games, however, the Moneyline is a tremendous value play.

First-Half Winner: Oklahoma City Thunder (+106)

At this point, given how well Thunder bench players are performing, Oklahoma City may have more shooters than the Spurs can handle.

While I expect to see a tighter game, I think the second-half adjustments San Antonio makes will be key for the Spurs. Consequently, I see the Thunder taking a lead into halftime.

Second-Half Winner: San Antonio Spurs (-115)

San Antonio is an excellent team; one that will not go down without a fight. As much trouble as they've had adjusting to the Thunder's game plan in the last two games, I'm not so sure they'll have the answers they need in the first half of this game.

However, in the second half, they'll get things figured out. Enough to win the game? That's hard to say, but the Spurs will not go down without a fight. Whether it's Victor Wembanyama taking over or more of a team effort, San Antonio will win the second half.

First-Half Winner/Full-Time Winner Parlay: Oklahoma City Thunder/San Antonio Spurs (+550)

Oklahoma City has something going on that is working well against one of the NBA’s best teams. It will continue to work for at least the first half of this game.

However, San Antonio will figure something out in the second half, make a few adjustments and go on to win the game, sending the series back to Oklahoma City tied at 2-2.
