Friday’s Best NBA Player Props

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Tyrese Maxey 30+ Points (-120)

When Philadelphia faced Boston earlier this season, Tyrese Maxey absolutely dominated, to the tune of 40 points in 41 minutes, while shooting 13-of-24 from the field and 7-of-9 from beyond the arc. Maxey is averaging 37.5 points over four games, which has helped Philadelphia to a 4-0 record.
The 76ers guard has scored at least 30 points in three out of four contests and has played at least 40 minutes in every game. Maxey is shooting 47.4% from beyond the arc on 9.5 attempts per contest. The 24-year-old guard has scored at least 30 points when facing Boston in four out of the last five games.
Maxey is averaging 31 points in the previous five games against the Celtics. He has scored a combined 71 points in two home games this season. The Philadelphia guard has scored at least 30 points in five out of the last seven regular-season games played against teams in the Eastern Conference.

Jalen Johnson 35+ Points + Rebounds + Assists (-115)

Trae Young is set to miss this contest due to a knee injury suffered on Wednesday night in Brooklyn. Jalen Johnson has the opportunity to build on what has already been an extremely positive start.
Johnson is scoring 20.5 points per game and has scored at least 20 points in three out of four games. The Hawks forward is shooting 57.9% from the field, and has not finished with a field goal rate below 52% in four contests, while taking 14.3 attempts per game.
Johnson is also averaging seven boards and 4.3 assists per game. The Duke alum is averaging 15.5 points, 11.5 boards and nine assists in the two previous games played without Young.

Austin Reaves Under 29.5 Points (-117)

It's difficult to adequately describe the mode of God level that Austin Reaves is currently displaying through the first five games. Luka Doncic returns to the court this evening after a three-game hiatus due to a finger sprain and a lower-leg contusion. That means Reaves will not have the same usage opportunity this evening against Memphis.
Reaves is averaging over 34 points to open the 2025-2026 campaign on an incredible 52.5% shooting from the field. For a guard, that type of high-end efficiency is quite uncommon. However, when Reaves has been on the court with Doncic this season, the volume decreases to 15.5 attempts compared to 22.6 with Doncic off the court.
The Lakers guard is averaging 25.5 points when paired with Doncic, and 39.6 points when Reaves is the top-scoring option for Los Angeles. Reaves has yet to score 30-40 points over five games played. He has finished with 25-28 points or 41-51 points. If the 27-year-old is going to attempt over seven fewer shots in this contest, we expect him to fail to hit 30 points.

Donovan Clingan 1+ Three-Pointers Made (-125)

There was a glimmer of hope that we could revisit Toumani Camara to make two or more three-pointers at home for a plus return. Alas, that was not to be. So we pivot to another possible under-the-radar candidate who is very capable of making at least one three-pointer against Denver this evening.
Donovan Clingan has failed to knock down one basket from beyond the arc in the previous two contests. However, the Portland center has made at least one three-pointer in each of the first three games this season, including in two home games.
The Trail Blazers center has hit three baskets from three-point distance in two home games, and is shooting 50% from beyond the arc at the Moda Center. The payout is fair, and the threshold is at its lowest possible. Sounds like a solid play.

Walker Kessler 30+ Points + Rebounds + Assists (+158)

We close out our selections with another center who is possibly going to be overlooked against a Phoenix team he just dominated on Monday night - 25 points, 11 boards and four assists.
Kessler is averaging 17.5 points, 10.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 31.3 minutes per contest. Kessler is connecting on an incredible 75% of attempts and has made at least one basket from beyond the arc in three out of four games. The Jazz center is averaging 22 points, with 16.5 rebounds and four assists in his previous two games against Phoenix.
The desire to turn this into either a ladder bet or an even higher alternative play at 40+ combined points + rebounds + assists is overtly tempting. However, you can also play it safe and just take the current line of 27 points + rebounds + assists at -116. Due to the fact that a repeat of overtime action is not very likely for this contest, we feel the best way to attack this prop is to kick up the total to 30+ points + rebounds + assists and enjoy a positive return of +158.
Enjoy the game tonight. Have a safe and happy Halloween. Best of luck with your picks.
