Friday’s Best NBA Player Props

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Jaylen Wells 3+Rebounds (-130)

We kick off the evening with a juiced-up selection that simply comes across as too low. Jaylen Wells has played fewer than 25 minutes in only two out of the previous eight games (22 and 23 minutes), and we feel good about his chances to reach the suggested threshold on this rebounding prop.

Wells grabbed four rebounds the first time the Celtics and Grizzlies met this season. The Grizzlies guard is averaging 3.3 rebounds per game on the season, and 3.5 rebounds when playing at home. Wells has accumulated 18 rebounds over the last five games.

The 22-year-old has finished with at least three rebounds in six of the previous nine games - including four contests consecutive contests with at least three rebounds against an opponent from the Eastern Conference.

Jalen Duren 24+ Points (-109)

The Detroit Pistons received the unfortunate news yesterday that the team will be without Cade Cunningham for two weeks (collapsed lung). Jalen Duren will more than likely be the catalyst for Detroit's offense going forward, and his points line will not get any lower for the rest of the season. Golden State may not have the inside presence to stop Duren tonight, so we expect a good amount of scoring from the young center.

Duren is knocking down 68.9% of his 12.2 field-goal attempts per game over the last 10 contests. Duren has scored 24+ points in six of those 10 contests. The Memphis alum is averaging 24.1 points in his last six home games, including four performances of 25+ points.

The Pistons center is averaging 24.8 points on 73.8% shooting from the field over the previous five games. Duren appears to be in a fantastic spot to finish with at least 24 points against the Warriors. The boost in usage and volume should give him ample opportunity to do so.

Jabari Smith Jr. 16+ Points (-114)

Jabari Smith Jr. is averaging 15.5 points this season. Lately, he has been making tremendous strides in getting buckets. Smith has totaled 56 points over the previous three games, and is shooting just under 46% from the field on an average of 15.6 attempts over that span.

Smith has scored at least 16 points in 11 out of the previous 18 games. The Houston forward finished with at least 16 points in four consecutive home games. Smith is averaging 17.1 points on 49% shooting over the last 10 games played at home.

Jalen Brunson 4+ Rebounds (+116)

This selection focuses on an unlikely source of rebounds that could return a plus profit. The total is not egregious by any means.

We are banking on a little home-field advantage to cover this rebounding prop. Jalen Brunson benefits from playing heavy minutes, and the Knicks face a Brooklyn team that, to put it kindly, isn't one of the more efficient squads in the NBA.

New York ranks sixth in defensive rating (111.8), and is only allowing 110.7 points per game on the season - 109.6 when playing at home. The Knicks also hold opponents to a slim 45.7% shooting rate from the field per game. Brooklyn owns the lowest shooting rate of any team this season - hitting only 44.3% of their attempts. That number has dropped to 37% over the last three games.

Opportunities for rebounds will almost certainly be available in this contest. If Brunson can play at least 30 minutes, he should be in pretty good standing to grab four boards. He has recorded four or more rebounds in four consecutive road games. Brunson is averaging five rebounds over three games against Brooklyn this season.

Christian Braun 3+ Assists (-134)

We close out the night with our juiciest play of the day. Christian Braun’s assist line is fairly low, given the expected pace of this contest and the high volume of minutes he has been playing recently. This could give us a solid edge on this assist total, especially if Braun is on the floor for 35+ minutes.

Braun is averaging 3.2 assists through the previous 10 contests played in March. The Nuggets guard has averaged 3.3 assists in 31 minutes on the court when playing at home this season. He is dishing out an average of 3.2 dimes over the last five games played in Denver.

Braun has three or more assists in seven consecutive games when Denver is the favorite. Braun finished with at least three assists in four out of his last five home games, as well as in the previous two contests against an Eastern Conference opponent.

Enjoy the games tonight. Best of luck with your picks.
