Friday’s Best NBA Player Props
Derrick White Under 26.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-120)
Derrick White is averaging a combined of 27.4 points + rebounds + assists this season. As of late, White is having difficulty reaching 27+ combined points + rebounds + assists - a trend that could continue tonight. The Celtics take on an Atlanta Hawks team that has won three games in a row and is looking to finish the season out strong.
White is averaging 18 points, 4.8 assists and 4.6 boards through March, yet is only shooting 40.8% from the field. Things are not much better when shooting from beyond the arc - where White is connecting on 31.3% of attempts. The Celtics guard has finished with a shooting rate of 40% or worse in seven out of 12 games this month.
White has combined for at least 27 points + rebounds + assists in only two out of the previous eight games. Since Jayson Tatum returned to the floor, White is averaging 16.4 points, five rebounds and 4.1 assists per game. In two games against the Hawks this season, White is averaging nine points, 7.5 assists and 4.5 rebounds.
Evan Mobley to Record a Double-Double (-120)
For this selection, we are jumping on a double-double prop that offers a very solid return on a high chance of probability. Evan Mobley has benefited greatly from playing with James Harden, and we are going to continue to ride that train until something changes. The return is an exceptional payout for this double-double prop.
Mobley has recorded 23 double-doubles this season. He is averaging 20.2 points and 9.8 boards through the previous 10 games. In the last 10 games against an opponent from the Eastern Conference, the young center is averaging 19.5 points and 10.2 rebounds. Mobley has five double-doubles in his last 10 games versus an Eastern Conference opponent.
Opportunities for rebounds will almost certainly be available in this contest. Miami ranks in the bottom half of the league concerning field goal rate (46.5%). That number drops to 45.7% when playing on the road. Miami has conceded the third-most rebounds in the league, giving up over 55 boards to the opposition each contest.
Nikola Jokic Under 51 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-112)
Taking an under against one of the best players in the game is always going to be a risky endeavor. Having said that, this contest could easily get out of hand quickly, which would cause Nikola Jokic to receive fewer than his full allotment of playing time. The Utah Jazz have three wins through their last 18 games, and have a losing margin of +69 over their previous three contests.
Jokic has finished with fewer than 51 combined points + rebounds + assists in three out of the last six games. In two matchups against Utah this season, Jokic is averaging 18 points, 12.5 rebounds and nine assists. The Nuggets center has only reached the 51 threshold for this combo prop in one out of the last five games against the Jazz.
We certainly don't believe the Jazz have much of a chance to keep Jokic in check in this contest. However, the Nuggets will more than likely do enough as a team to have a sizable lead going into the fourth. Jokic is averaging 32.5 minutes on the court against Utah in two games this season. The superstar center is averaging 34.8 minutes per game this season. The 2.5-minute regression could absolutely be the deciding factor.
Reed Sheppard 23+ Points + Rebounds + Assists (-123)
Reed Sheppard has been one of the best players on the Rockets over the course of the last month. He is facing a Memphis team that ultimately blew its whole franchise up. We love the idea of Sheppard playing some extended minutes in this contest, and finishing with at least 23+ combined points + rebounds + assists.
Sheppard is averaging 13 points, 3.9 boards and five assists in March. The young guard is pouring on the baskets from three-point distance as of late - 25 over the last seven games. Sheppard is also dishing out 6.8 assists over the last four games.
The Rockets guard is averaging 13.6 points, five rebounds and 4.8 assists over his last 10 road games. The Kentucky alum has exceeded a combined 22.5 points + rebounds + assists in three out of his last four road games.
Nolan Traore Over 11.5 Points (-126)
The Brooklyn Nets have all but waved the white flag. Brooklyn has visions of attaining the first pick in the draft and not concerning themselves with much more. This gives us a small angle on points, considering the Nets are rolling out some straightforward lineups as of late.
Nolan Traore is averaging 21 minutes in 12 games this month. He has been on the floor for at least 24 minutes in three out of the last four games. The Nets guard hasn't been very efficient from either inside the perimeter (33%) or beyond the arc (34%). Despite the low efficiency, our goal for this prop is volume, not percentages.
Brooklyn needs to develop as many of their young players as possible. It's tough taking a chance on a player who is coming off a zero-point performance. However, we feel Traore scores at least 12 points this evening.
Enjoy the games tonight. Best of luck with your picks.
