Sunday's Best NBA Player Props
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Luka Garza 6+ Rebounds (+109)
We close out the night with a rebounding prop that appears to be in our favor, given the recent success when Luka Garza is playing at home. The Milwaukee Bucks aren't exactly effective when it comes to pulling down boards, so the matchup is definitely one we may be able to take advantage of.
The veteran center is averaging 4.8 rebounds per game in January. Garza is also grabbing 4.5 boards each contest when playing at home. The Celtics center has met the requirement of at least five rebounds in five consecutive contests at TD Garden.
Milwaukee is allowing the eighth-highest amount of rebounds per game in the NBA this season (58.4). The Bucks just conceded 66 rebounds to the Wizards on Friday, and give up the most boards of any team when playing on the road (54.9 per game). Milwaukee is basically handing out hits on rebounding props on the road, while Garza is rolling at home as of late. The journeyman appears to be in a great position to secure five boards today.
Michael Porter Jr. 7+ Rebounds (+116)
This selection represents our largest return, which subsequently also makes it the sweatiest of all the options today. Scoring props have been the most successful angle to attack this season for Michael Porter Jr. Having said that, Porter has fared well on the rebounding front when facing the Central Division, as well as when playing on the road.
Porter pulls down 7.3 boards each contest and owns a rebounding rate of 12.7%. The veteran forward grabs 8.8 rebounds per 40 minutes on the season. Porter averages 6.9 rebounds when playing on the road this season, and has finished with seven rebounds or more in nine out of 19 contests when playing as the away team.
Porter has grabbed at least seven rebounds in seven out of the last nine contests. The 27-year-old forward has finished with seven boards or more in seven consecutive contests against the Central Division. Porter is averaging 7.8 rebounds per game over the last 10 games when facing the Central Division.
Domantas Sabonis 6+ Assists (+106)
Domantas Sabonis heads into this contest dishing out two assists fewer (four) than the suggested threshold for this prop. Yet, the Gonzaga alum seems to be getting very close to playing at full capacity since returning from a left knee injury.
Sabonis has played 28+ minutes in three out of the last four games and is averaging six assists throughout that stretch of contests. The veteran forward finished with at least six assists in three out of the last four contests, and in five out of 10 games played on the road this season.
Sabonis has recorded at least six assists in 20 consecutive games as a road favorite against an Eastern Conference opponent. The Kings forward is averaging 6.7 assistsper game over the last 10 contests as the away team against the Eastern Conference. Sabonis dished out at least six assists in eight straight games against Washington on the road.
Brook Lopez 6+ Points (-119)
We opted for an over on Brook Lopez on Friday. Unfortunately, the result was an absolute skunk. Lopez finished with zero points and failed to record a single attempt from either the field or beyond the arc. The success rate is double that of the matchup against Denver. This is why we are going back to the well on this selection. The room for error may be extremely small, yet the opponent for this evening opens up a bit of an edge on this plus return.
Lopez has scored at least six points in 38 consecutive games against the Phoenix Suns. The Clippers center is averaging 13.7 points on 60% shooting from the field in the last 10 games against Phoenix.
The Clippers center played only 13 minutes and scored eight points when the Suns and Clippers met earlier this season. The playing time for Lopez makes this an extremely sweaty selection. However, the success rate speaks for itself. We are siding with Lopez to finish with at least six points in this contest.
LeBron James 2+ Three-Pointers (+104)
LeBron James’ efficiency from beyond the perimeter has left a lot to be desired as of late. James has connected on two or more three-pointers in only one of the last six games. The under obviously looks like the better option. However, a matchup against New York at Madison Square Garden could be exactly what James needs to net a positive return on this prop.
The veteran forward continues to defy the odds, as well as Father Time. James is averaging 21.9 points per game in his 22nd season, while making 1.5 baskets from deep each contest.
The Lakers forward has made at least two shots from beyond the arc in eight consecutive contests against New York. James is averaging 2.6 three-pointers per game over that span. The NBA's leader in points scored knocked down at least two three-pointers in eight out of his last 10 games played at Madison Square Garden.
Enjoy the games and best of luck with your picks.
