NBA Player Props & Bets: Wednesday (4/15)

NBA Player Props & Bets | Wednesday (4/15)

Welcome to another day of NBA player props. We are officially into the postseason. If you aren't taking advantage of the BettingPros prop tools, you're missing out, but there's no time like the present for what should be a very fun playoffs. It's been a profitable year, and I plan on continuing that into the postseason.

As always, monitor any potential news and lineup announcements. The best way to stay informed about NBA player props is to stay current with the latest updates. The second-best way is to shop around at different sportsbooks. Player props rarely have identical odds across platforms, so ensure you get the best value.

After a pair of solid games last night, we have another duo of matchups that are ripe for the picking. Anyways, let's get to the best bets of the day. Unless specified otherwise, each bet will be for a single unit.

Tyrese Maxey Under 2.5 Made Three-Pointers (+104 at FanDuel Sportsbook)

Once again, I advise shopping around on the odds because I imagine you can find longer odds out there for this plus-money bet. Of course, with Joel Embiid sidelined, Tyrese Maxey is going to get a bigger workload. But this is already a tough defense, and the 76ers guard hasn't been taking many deep looks of late, averaging just under two buckets from deep per game over the last two weeks of play.

The Magic allowed the second-fewest threes to opponents all season, with only 12 made per game. This is a solid defense that traveled well, and the 76ers’ offense won't be full steam ahead despite playing at home. Maxey hasn't covered this line in seven of his last eight games, so getting this at plus-money odds feels like an absolute steal.

Brandin Podziemski Under 14.5 Points (-120 at bet365)

It's the playoffs, where this game is win-or-go-home, so you know I'm betting on the biggest name there is: Brandin Podziemski. Obviously, Steph Curry is getting a lot of focus now that he's back, and the consensus seems that you simply can't fade Curry with his back against the wall.

I generally agree with this and do expect the future Hall of Famer to get a lot of usage in this game. With that in mind, I imagine a lot of other players will be limited, such as Podziemski. With Curry on the court, Podziemski gets one of the biggest drops off in usage rates on Golden State.

In three of the four games against the Clippers this season, the Warriors guard failed to cover this line. The under has actually been money in these matchups so far this year, so I'm generally trying to find some non-Curry under point totals to bet.

Both teams rank in the bottom third of the league in pace of play over their last 15 games, with the Clippers the fourth-slowest unit. Defenses tend to step up come playoff time. I expect that to happen tonight and for Podziemski to struggle.
