Sunday’s Best NBA Player Props & Picks
Raptors Moneyline (+100 at bet365)
Toronto is 1-1 to start the season, having smoked Atlanta in their opener 138-118 before losing 122-116 to Milwaukee on Friday. As for Dallas, the Mavericks are off to a 0-2 start with losses to the Spurs and Wizards that can best be described as ugly.
The Mavs are the only team in the NBA not averaging 100 points per game (99.5). They aren't shooting the ball well - last in field goal rate (40.4%) - and their defense is just awful. Toronto isn't an impressive team either. But, at the moment, I'd say they are better than Dallas. It will be a close one, but the value is with the Raptors to win.
Timberwolves -12.5 (-108 at FanDuel Sportsbook)
The Pacers put up a great fight against the Thunder in their opener, but fell short in double-overtime. They followed that game up with a 25-point loss to the Grizzlies. I don't expect them to do much better tonight. Indiana entered the season with injury issues that have already gotten worse. Minnesota, on the other hand, hasn't blown the doors off the court, but they are 1-1, healthy and the game is their home opener.
It's a big spread, but the Pacers are going to be outgunned in this game.
Lakers -3 (-105 at bet365)/Kings Moneyline (+125 at bet365)
How you should bet on this game will be determined by one thing we don't know yet - whether Luka Doncic is playing. He is officially a game-time decision due to a finger issue. If he doesn't play, take the Kings on the Moneyline. Sacramento is not an overly impressive team, but without LeBron James and Doncic, the Lakers are essentially dead in the water.
But if Doncic does play, the Kings will not slow him down. He'll lead the team to its second win of the season.
Luka Doncic Over 33.5 Points (-117), Over 8.5 Rebounds (+101) & to Record a Double-Double (-143)
*Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook
Assuming Doncic does play, we can likely count on him dominating the show for the Lakers, much like he did in the first two games of the season. He's scored 40+ and pulled down double-digit boards in both games. If he plays, he'll do the same to the Kings.
