Giannis Antetokounmpo 14+ Rebounds (+171)
Last season, Giannis Antetokounmpo finished sixth in the league in rebounds per game, averaging 11.9. He only played twice against the Wizards. In one of those contests, he was on the court for just 19 minutes and grabbed six rebounds. In the other game, he grabbed 12 rebounds.
The Wizards allowed the most rebounds in the league last year, giving up an average of 48.9 per game. Because of this, the price for Antetokounmpo to grab more than 11.5 rebounds in this contest is set at -144. However, because this is such a good matchup, this is the perfect spot to take his alt line. After all, Antetokounmpo did have at least 14 rebounds in 20 of his 67 games last season.
Heat vs. Magic Under 217.5 Points (-108)
With Tyler Herro out to start the season, the Heat are without 23.9 points per game from last year. Herro was the only player on the team to average more than 20 points per game, and I don't see how the Heat are going to make up for his absence against last year's top-scoring defense.
The Magic gave up just 105.5 points per game last year, and they held the Heat to fewer than 100 points twice in four games. And while the Magic are heavily favored in this game, the Heat did allow the seventh-fewest points per game a year ago. With both teams averaging fewer than 111 points per game last season, this is the type of contest where the Magic could win by double-digits and yet neither team scores over 105.
Bradley Beal Over 14.5 Points (-101)
Bradley Beal joins the Clippers after two years with the Suns. He averaged 17 points per game last season, a slight decline from the 18.2 he averaged in 2023-24. While these averages are a far cry from the 22.6+ points that Beal averaged in his final seven seasons with the Wizards, Beal is still a scorer, and I love this matchup for him.
The Jazz allowed a league-worst 121.2 points per game last season, so what better team for Beal to start his time with the Clippers against? The Jazz were actually pretty good at defending the three-point line last season, but they struggled to stop shots from inside the arc. They allowed opponents to make 48% of their field goals, which ranked fifth-worst in the league.
Beal averaged 1.9 made threes per game last season. However, he averaged 4.6 made two-pointers, so the Jazz are unlikely to throw him off his spot in this game, as he competes with James Harden and Kawhi Leonard for points, but manages to hit his over in a high-scoring blowout.
