Wednesday’s Best NBA Same Game Parlay Bets

    (Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

    Orlando Magic @ Atlanta Hawks

The Magic have been playing short-handed lately, without starters Franz Wagner and Gary Harris in the fold. It has become the Paolo Banchero show in Orlando, and this is the perfect matchup for him to exploit, given the Hawks’s struggles in the paint. They’re allowing the fourth-most points per game down low, and Banchero went nuclear against them just a couple of games back when he put up 35 points. He has had a couple of tough matchups more recently, keeping him under this points line, but this matchup should get him back on track.

Banchero has also done an exceptional job cleaning up the glass as of late. He has six or more rebounds in five of his last six, averaging 7.5 per game. The second-year pro also had 10 boards against the Hawks in the recent game. Given Atlanta’s up-tempo style of play - they’re fourth in pace - Banchero should also have ample rebounding opportunities in this one.

It feels funny targeting a rebounding prop for someone as small in stature as Trae Young, but it checks out here. He is averaging 3.1 rebounds per game on the season and has found three boards in 13 of his last 17 games. Young gobbled up four rebounds in each game against Orlando this season.

Golden State Warriors @ Utah Jazz

These teams are trending in the opposite direction. Utah has won 12 of their last 14, while Golden State has lost seven of their last 11. Throughout the season, neither team has been particularly adept on the defensive side of things, with the Warriors ranking 25th in defensive net rating and Utah at 20th. All of this adds up to a high-scoring game with a 242.5 total.

Golden State will be without Chris Paul in this one, which should lead to Stephen Curry being the team-leading assist man. He has found at least six assists in six of seven games without “CP3” around, averaging 7.3 per game. Utah is also allowing the second-most assists to point guards per game.

Leading the charge for this Jazz run has been none other than Lauri Markkanen. He has been particularly effective off the glass over this run, averaging 9.2 rebounds per game across his last 13. Markkanen has found at least nine boards in nine of his last 13, and the Warriors have allowed the ninth-most rebounds per game to power forwards.

Markkanen has also been on point in the scoring department, averaging 25 points per game during this span. That doesn’t sound amazing with the point prop we’re working with, but he played 26 minutes or less in three of those games. Take those contests out, and he’s over this mark in seven of 10 games, averaging 27.9 per game. Draymond Green is back to fluster Markkanen. However, with the form he has been in and the lack of minutes Green will likely have, Markkanen should have another monster game at home in this one.
