NBA Same Game Parlays & Picks: Friday (3/6)

NBA Same Game Parlays & Picks: Friday (3/6)

The NBA season rolls on tonight with a relatively small slate, with just seven games on the schedule. However, with some of the teams and players seeing action, it appears to be a great night for betting on NBA same-game parlays (SGPs).

With the return of Jayson Tatum tonight in Boston, the Celtics will undoubtedly be a popular game for bettors. Could the Lakers, dealing with a couple of injuries and facing a struggling Pacers squad, provide interesting betting opportunities? I think so.

Dallas Mavericks vs. Boston Celtics

Leg #1: Jaylen Brown Over 11.5 Rebounds + Assists (-113)

Jaylen Brown has sailed past this total with ease for the last six games. He hasn't totaled fewer than 14 combined rebounds + assists in that span. I don't see that changing with the potential return of Jayson Tatum. If anything, Brown may be more inclined to record more of both as the offense shifts to involve Tatum.

Leg #2: Cooper Flagg Over 22.5 Points + Rebounds (-113)

Cooper Flagg made his return from the injured list last night against the Magic and had a solid night, recording 18 points and five rebounds. He has gone over this total in 12 of his last 15 games.

Boston has a much better defense than Orlando, but Flagg has done well against the Celtics. When the Mavericks hosted Boston on February 3rd, Flagg went off for 36 points and nine rebounds. It would be foolish to expect such a big number again, but not to think he'll go over this total.

Leg #3: Jayson Tatum Under 3.5 Rebounds (+112)

Jayson Tatum is coming back awfully quickly from an injury that used to take at least a full season to come back from. Of course, getting him back will be a huge boost towards Boston's playoff aspirations, but they are bound to be careful with him throughout the rest of the regular season.

Tatum will likely be on a minutes count, and I doubt we'll see him test his ankle too much by battling for rebounds.

Parlay Odds: +500 - A $100 wager will result in a $600 payday; your stake plus $500 in winnings.

Indiana Pacers vs. Los Angeles Lakers

Leg #1: Lakers -9.5 (-102)

Larger spreads always make me nervous, and it certainly doesn't help that the Lakers will likely be without LeBron James and Deandre Ayton. But they are in luck, as they are at home and playing a dreadful Pacers team that is dealing with even more injuries.

The Lakers have had their troubles on the defensive end, but that will not matter with the injuries against this Pacers team. This should be an easy cover for the Lakers at home.

Leg #2: Luka Doncic Over 32.5 Points (-122)

Luka has gone under this total 11 times in his last 15 games. Yet, he is still averaging 32.3 points per game this season. With LeBron James probably out with an elbow injury, along with no Deandre Ayton, the onus to score is going to fall on Doncic.

Doncic is no stranger to taking over games and putting up big numbers. Perhaps a matchup against a wounded Pacers squad is just what he needs to get out of his funk.

Leg #3: Austin Reaves Under 24.5 Points (-124)

In theory, it makes sense to expect players like Austin Reaves to pick it up a little on the scoreboard when his teammates are injured. But don't count on it from Reaves. He has gone under this mark in 13 of his last 15 games, including his last seven. I expect Luka Doncic to pick his game up. If anything, Reaves may actually see a dip in production tonight.

Parlay Odds: +450 - A $100 wager will result in a $550 payday; your stake plus $450 in winnings.
